Yes, and strangely in Italian it is called "un uomo sulla soglia."

Yeah, that sentence caught my attention too... especially since I started reading a book by Nicole Krauss ("man walks into a room") that talks about a man who loses his memory and describes his condition in a way that makes you think...

This film/documentary is very delicate and touching. You must see the interview with Alina (in the DVD extras), where she talks about how one day, after so many years, she finally managed to open that closet where everything left of her mother had been stored: home movies (quite rare for the time), letters, postcards, and the diaries that Liseli always wrote (in the film, read by Alina's fragile voice). All this work, this blanket made of shiny little pieces of lead sewn together with a nylon thread, was for her a way to get to know her mother - lost when she was little - but also a way to bring her back to life, to reveal her for who she was in all her beauty, going against the will of a family that had always tried to hide that perpetually sad and strange daughter.

Well, beauty megafuzza, she also said "YOU'RE FUCKING BEAUTIFUL!". And you know, up there, near the bar, there was a wonder, I got a little lost here and there but it doesn't matter... and "no one knows" I skipped it altogether, since I wasn't wearing my new shoes. Another beer... next time. Ha!

It attracts me almost as much as it repels me the cover...

You see, I was just talking about it the other day... I vaguely remember it and I don't know why I associate it with Christine, the hellish car, who knows.
