Well, it seems to me that one could also stay there on page 92, or rather up to page 92 and maybe then just stop there, like that other historical book by that castrated guy whose name I can't remember. I'm going to listen to the interview that I hadn't heard, maybe it was one of those days when I was in a place where there's no internet and the radio only works now and then. I'm off to check out the interview, the book trailer, and then I'll be back.

Odradek, it's true that my Norite is becoming more and more chronic, I have to thank you for this. Today, when I had him just three centimeters from my nose, I was so embarrassed that I couldn't say anything. He was at the triennale where they were doing something about literary covers, and I arrived just as he was about to read a speech where he talked about Chlebnikov and Charms and also about Baldini. I thought that next time he comes to read something nearby, I’ll prepare a little speech and then leave it for him because, after all, I just want to tell him that I like the way he writes and that I’ve discovered others that I like thanks to his books, but I know I won’t be able to say it out loud. Ps: :) I think I haven’t read anything translated by your Tommasino, is that possible? I’ll look for it.

Ah, I don't know what you might feel, you know, his novels are a bit all the same and that's the beauty of it. Here, he talks exactly about what I remembered up there about translations, which are very important. Paolo Nori, Di cosa parla un romanzo?

Then as you scroll down the page, there are videos where he talks about Gogol and Chlebnikov.

I take the opportunity to share another link for Mrs. Lukin (who, in my opinion, would enjoy Paolo Nori)

Yes, the one in the video is Nori, there are also other videos with his readings that he does around, it’s worth it, I say.

I recommend Polo Nori's translations from Russian: Humble Prose by Pushkin, A Hero of Our Time by Lermontov, and also the anthology by Velimir Chlebnikov. The translations are really important, you know.

I remember the beautiful original version from 1974 by Dino Risi with Vittorio Gassman as the colonel, more bitter and less pompous.
