Mountain Climbing!

I think they can be compared to something like Captain Beyond? Or maybe they are a bit lighter and less concise. Uhm, I should give it another listen. Valid!

Yes, I also want to highlight the "true" return of Amrep (which has been producing these useless limited edition singles and EPs for years now): The Heroine Sheiks by Shannon Selberg.
Neurosis A Sun That Never Sets

It was somewhat of a provocation indeed :)
Neurosis A Sun That Never Sets

Yes, yes, exactly. But let's be clear that Jesus Lizard and Fugazi are definitely on another level. Anyway, the fact that Neurosis has a metal background is not "deleterious" in itself; I was just making a matter of taste. Haloah.

Neurosis A Sun That Never Sets

Yes yes, tastes. But Neurosis are metal, even if not very strictly, but they are metal. Post-hardcore is something else (maybe in the beginnings they were closer, but from a distance). This is post-metal.
Radio Birdman Radios Appear

Yes yes, folks, but why not 5 to one of the greatest rock albums of all time?? Phenomenal.
The Replacements Sorry Ma, Forgot To Take Out The Trash

Damn, I remember this album for a maximum of 4. I'm going to listen again hoping to bump it up to a 5! I don't really understand the comparison with Husker Du (who, aside from being direct rivals from Minneapolis, have little in common) // I'm also puzzled by Hart on Warehouse (while on New Day Rising and Flip Your Wig he perhaps writes some of the best tracks). But he made up for it on the first solo album, which alone overshadows all of Mould's post-Huskers career.
Richard Hell and the Voidoids Blank Generation

Well, yes. But wasn't there already?
Neurosis A Sun That Never Sets

I go against the grain; for me, Neurosis (and here in particular) really make my balls roll very, very far. Respect, of course, but what a drag and how heavy. The same goes for Isis and their post-metal buddies. Maybe it's because they are bands that are not strictly but still somewhat metal? Transcendental bricks like Earth2 or certain things from SunnO)) definitely tear my intimate parts less.
