eheh the album is great but a big part of its charm comes from being a limited edition (vinyls sold out from today, the CD was basically sold out on the day of release) and from the cult following that's been created around it. It sounds 60s but it's also modern; I don't know, these sounds are definitely super-vintage but I think there's a bit of modern stoner or NWOBHM that can be heard in the grooves. The latest Wizard albums are more raw, lo-fi, and essential but they lack the songs, whereas these ones get under your skin more easily.

Hey psycho, I really like this Mazes along with the new The Oscillation and Pontiak, my acid soundtrack for this submerged Genoa.

Beautiful story, and of course it's worth watching in the original language. For me, the essence of Jarmusch's cinema is encapsulated in "Stranger than Paradise," haloa.

Thanks, psycho. Yeah, it also seemed to me that despite the redundancy and flatness, it had some arrows in its quiver. However, with all the stuff out there to listen to, I gladly pass on another listen, and like a good pig, I'm looking forward to the next Left Lane Cruiser!

In my opinion, this is really awful! Auerbach's soloist already left me feeling a bit underwhelmed, not very impactful, and unfortunately, the preview of this shift towards black music - sexy, yes, but booohhhh I don't quite get it, but it seems super phoned-in and lacking in spark - was showcased with the rather mediocre hip-hop project Blakroc. I'm going to go back to The Big Come Up, but unfortunately, I think I'm starting to dislike them. Maybe it's my snobbery because they've praised this album just about everywhere... What does psycho think?

News: finally coming out in June is the reissue of one of the most beautiful records still hard to find for us, unfortunately, who grew up in the CD era. For me, it's an event I've been waiting for years. SteveWynn.net | The Dream Syndicate | The Medicine Show

Like Bartle, I too am a bit dried up, perhaps also due to the lack of recent releases of any significant value; certainly, they are very vintage (I’ve seen the photos of their gear), classy rock mold.

Well, it just so happens that I've been in a full AmRep revival for a few days now, and between Halo of Flies, Hammerhead, Tar, Unsane, Janitor Joe, God Bullies, Love 666, and a few related bands from Trance Syndicate, I'm taking quite a beating, but I still can't quite digest Helmet well, even though my stomach is used to it, which I suppose speaks to their value!
