Hi wreck, this is a beautiful record, ethnic and played by a god. Even on the first "Get off the Cross..." there were signs of this "panaetnicoworld(pop)music" that really took off during the time spent on the road in the Middle East, followed by the equally beautiful "The Golden Hour" enhanced by recordings made with local musicians.

Speaking as a semi-ignorant person: Dealing with the Dead is one of my favorites from the period/genre, this one reviewed is definitely more progressive and almost equally beautiful. As far as I know, it has never been reissued, but you can find copies of the original vinyl on eBay.

Beautiful the review and the historical context. I don't know why they vaguely remind me of the Suicide, but colder, emptier, and more alien.

Great rediscovery, I had never taken this record seriously, but listening to it again today I must say it’s very good. Too bad both this and Behold & See are not easily found.
Arbouretum Coming Out Of The Fog

For me, rather than finding an "ideal horizon," they have settled on a medium quality of (very) good craftsmanship. Rites obviously had that extra magical touch, but even "Fog" stands out from the crowd, thanks to an immediately recognizable and unique style, albeit with a nostalgic flair. 3 abundant
The Flaming Lips The Terror

Hi zaireeka, after almost four years Embryonic still often finds its way into the stereo; this the Terror takes a while to get under your skin and certainly doesn’t expect to be listened to every day, but I trust it will hold up very well over the long haul.
Howlin Rain The Russian Wilds

Unfortunately, I bought it sight unseen: despite the misstep of Magnificent Fiend, I was still hoping for at least a return to the past. Instead, without any pretenses, it’s an insignificant album. There are many honest workers of this kind, and better ones—for example, Endless Boogie.

Discovered on these pages when Rocky was handing out gems like these, I have the pink Akarma pressing and it really feels great; I agree with the reviewer, better than the still excellent ZZ Top thanks to the garage and psych vibe.

Thank you, psycho, for the recommendation; it's one of the albums I've listened to the most in the last few months.

Arrived... Thank you Gira, for now I consider it the best album of the last ten years at least, you can feel that there are three decades of music and life within it. In an infinity of listenings and different experiences that fade away, this is a solid point for me.
