Bad Religion The Gray Race

This is more than melodic punk; it's almost power-pop! I discovered them as a teenager with "Punk Rock Song," but going back, the quality increases exponentially. The lyrics remain interesting.

Beautiful, for a while the purple vinyl proudly occupied my turntable; I didn't even take it off, knowing it would be the next (again) listen. I don't feel so much Africa, despite the name, instead I feel a spacey beat like Hawkwind.
Ninos Du Brasil Novos Mistérios

Hi, I think this is a pretty un-mysterious and very fun album. On first listen, I was amazed, but by the second listen, it dropped quite a bit.
Orange Goblin Back from the Abyss

Nice split with Electric Wizard where they do a cover of Black Sabbath. Of course, the track Chrono.Naut by the Wizards is on a whole different level. Frequencies was a good second-tier stoner album. They were already past their prime back then, let alone today.
Electric Wizard Time To Die

I just wanted to say that unfortunately my interest has dropped significantly. I put back on Come My Fanatics and Supercoven and I noticed they really have a different energy; Time To Die I currently find boring, and that's it.
Anthroprophh Outside The Circle

This month I listened to it carefully and I can say it’s some really good stuff, a beautiful drugged-out alien trip, a project that I find more interesting than The Heads. Nonetheless, there remains a suspicion of being messed with and the playful antics of an eccentric space traveler armed with a hefty arsenal of effects, a suspicion that, for example, the early Chrome don’t evoke for me. I was almost tempted to order the vinyl, but I played it safe and settled on the reissue of Alien Soundtracks :)
Wand Ganglion Reef

The Australian band King Gizzard & the Wizard Lizard gives me that '80s Flaming Lips vibe as well, and unlike Wand, they are less aligned and I wouldn't condemn them to "pushing huge bales of marijuana (or rather, LSD tablets) in a circle with just their chests forever." A great batch of psycho reviews, I'm off to catch up on what I missed!
Will Stratton Gray Lodge Wisdom

I got to know Shawn Phillips here thanks to a review by Supersoul, it's possible that it's a name I've associated due to my deep ignorance in folk rock. In the singer-songwriter scene, this year I also appreciated Wovenhand and did not appreciate Scott Walker.

I've dedicated 93 to him so far, and he's deserved every single one. He reminds me of Shawn Phillips, and I didn't think he was that young.
Seam Are You Driving Me Crazy?

I heard it again today while seeing the review on the homepage, and in my opinion, the 5 stars are fitting in a nostalgic perspective, because now as then it's a very good album that can evoke emotions and lends itself to repeated listens, but it sounds a bit dated and of its time. Regarding de gustibus, as someone who isn't a fan of slowcore, I prefer Bitch Magnet.
