Come on, on Win MX you can't even find the cover, use Soulseek, you can find everything and more (slsk.net). Regarding the Stars, they should finally release some fascinating material from the archives about those performances of Syd and Twink's freaked-out shows opening for the MC5 (who were already finished in '72). Be careful, these are rare gems—Barrett throwing up an unrecognizable octopus completely wasted in front of a stunned audience in Cambridge.

The stars did hold 3 concerts in Cambridge anyway, in February 1972, but then Syd went into paranoia and disbanded the group.

Sure, in the '80s, but looking back to the early '70s, Gottsching didn't seem to create anything more original and eccentric than the typical psychedelic bands of the time. Klaus Schulze, on the other hand, has produced an infinitely higher and illogical body of work with Irrlicht and Cyborg. More brilliant than Ashra were bands like Can or Amon Düül II, for example.

I have to say that, taken as a whole, their music makes it difficult to understand where they lean towards cosmic rock and where towards the psychedelic approach of Pink Floyd (the early ones). One thing is clear, though: Schulze embodies the cosmic soul while Gottsching is the psychedelic wing of the group.

beautiful, although I prefer its successor Schwingungen as it feels more cosmic than this one, which I find more tied to the psychedelic standards of the time.

I prefer him a bit bummed, but this one is also quite refreshing; together with the Stone Roses, they made the Madchester scene great.

the usual pseudo psick blues garage stoner nonsense that after a month from the first listen you don’t give a damn about anymore. enough with these pseudo modernist mixes for post blue cheer.
The Clash London Calling

If there's one thing that has always pissed me off, it's those who think punk is only the Sex Pistols and The Clash and believe they're the best. To these folks, I say: Germs, Gun Club, Bad Brains, X, Adolescents, Black Flag, Damned, Hüsker Dü, Social Distortion, Dead Kennedys, Bad Religion, Fear, Wire, Replacements, Heartbreakers, Voidoids, Dead Boys, etc., the Sex Pistols are truly the worst!

Among the greatest punk groups in history, I wouldn't include either The Clash or the Sex Pistols (who are the only bands that ignorant punk rock listeners know), but rather Hüsker Dü, Germs, Social Distortion, etc. That's who I would place at the top; those were truly 100% punk without any reggae influences.
Ramones Mondo Bizarro

I also believe that with their namesake, the New York Dolls were greater than the Ramones (in my opinion, it's alive is their great live album), and they were also predecessors of the punk spirit (see the Damned who imitated them), the Dead Boys were excellent as well.
