Jim Morrison, what do you think about this album?? I've never read any comments about Jim Morrison related to the album or the review; it almost makes me doubt that in 90% of the cases, they don't know a damn thing about the reviewed albums. The Guns were from Los Angeles, and ethically they were at the opposite end of the spectrum compared to Alice in Chains. Sure, some riffs might remind you of them closely (all those bands probably started by playing Guns covers; it's an induced phenomenon since they were among the first to revive rock at the end of the '80s). On the other hand, the Guns were a successful band, but philosophically they were opposites; the Guns celebrated life and debauchery in the purest hard rock style (think Aerosmith), while Alice were dark. It’s not enough that you occasionally hear a Guns-like riff; besides, Alice also had a metal and psychedelic component that the Guns didn't have.

West what in the United States means especially Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego, geography isn’t your strong suit, the young Vedder was born and raised on the beaches of the West Coast, a former surfer, with the sun beating down all day long, it’s no coincidence that the Los Angeles bands had an aura of sunshine and an energy boost that nobody in Seattle had; they were all drugged, neurotic, and fatalistic.
