I preface by saying that I have nothing against The Strokes; I just consider them a little ignorant group of rich kids who play catchy, nice-sounding music and nothing more. But now I want to analyze the first part of your review, the one about Green Day, just to clarify. Saying that nothing better than Green Day comes out of America is a huge load of crap on its own, but I don’t feel like explaining why here—just do some research before you start spouting nonsense. Then, you wrap your nonsense by saying that these four random fools are gods compared to Green Day, and that really makes me laugh... let me explain: The Strokes clean Green Day's shoes. I completely agree... I admit I’ve never been a big Santana fan, but I believe I've noticed a clear progressive decline, even in terms of collaborations... for example, the little song with Michelle Branch could have been avoided, while a collaboration with Steven Tyler could have definitely resulted in something better than that bland 'just feel better'...
