grossly presumptuous! You’ve been discussing this for a while now and you’re saying it’s all pointless, that we would never understand, subtly calling your interlocutors fools; moreover, you advocate for the poor ignorant pseudo-dark Italian kids who approach a certain type of music, but now all of a sudden you couldn’t care less about HIM or those who listen to them. And in this, you’re a bit contradictory, don’t you think?
Anyway, I simply believe that a person’s relationship with the music they listen to is intimate and private, hard to convey, sometimes impossible for external eyes to interpret. You can’t dismiss someone by calling them simple-minded in a few words for their musical tastes, and I’m convinced of that. Then you’re right, there are those who listen to music for fashion, but that’s another story, which in my view has nothing to do with music and should never have.

Lovelorn, it seems to me that your comments are steeped in an enormous presumption. Who are you to say that HIM's music can't be felt deeply? Who are you to judge the personality or 'self-concept' of those who listen to this music, stereotypical or whatever? You claim not to come here to flaunt your knowledge, but it seems that you're more here to pass judgment and shoot down opinions for free.

No, I wasn't offended. On the other hand, for someone who listens to them, this kind of comments are par for the course. I was just pointing it out..!

Great review; I agree with almost everything, except for the idea that love songs are the worst in every genre. Certainly, love is an overused theme that has a significant appeal to the 'masses', often to the point of creating a sort of desensitization that leads to annoyance towards love songs themselves. However, I believe there are still those who can talk about it in an original way and write beautiful songs on the subject, in every genre, even in today’s most chaotic pop landscape.
@alessio: I listen to HIM and I am neither a girl nor a queer. Does that undermine your enlightened certainties? :-)

Yes, beautiful review, even though I can't agree. In any case, I would have avoided that first paragraph which literally slaps the feelings related to the reality depicted in the film, mistreating it with that damned word, “goodism,” which means nothing, and especially here I find it used, or rather abused, frankly out of place: it’s hair-pulling, along with the whole subsequent discourse about holding hands. For the rest, as mentioned, great review.

Not that in movies like these the endings can be that unpredictable... but can you stop revealing the endings of films?? Telling an ending in a review is always and anyway a dumb move.

Yes, a true example of a useless and damaging review... not worth reading!
