When I went to Iceland, I got 'masterpiece of bitterness,' an album that I came to appreciate probably because I first listened to it in its natural setting, the remote Icelandic landscapes, and this helped me, I believe, to catch nuances that I wouldn’t have been able to perceive under normal conditions; and now I have a completely special bond with that album. It’s obvious, then, that I would be very curious to hear the other works of Sólstafir, but so far I have had to surrender to their unavailability...

because we are all a bit slaves to the media. we see avril and like flies we swarm zigzagging in the depagination of the aforementioned, to say a bit of crap to her, which does no good and no harm.

a very beautiful movie for the reasons listed in the review (even though I hadn't caught all those quotes). I would like to watch it again to enjoy it more. In any case, I believe the strong point of the film is precisely the characters, some of whom may seem almost stereotypical, but who ultimately prove to be comically and tragically human. I find the review nice, attentive, despite some grammatical slips and a few pearls of wisdom (ex-veteran from Vietnam??? What is an ex-veteran??)

In my opinion, it’s never too early to listen to good music; even a 14-year-old has their own critical sense, can have a decent musical culture, and why not, already quite refined tastes. Age doesn't matter; it’s a matter of approach to things, of trends and passion. The reason for the success of this type of music, in my view, can be traced back to the widespread superficiality with which many people approach it; the fact that for years now, record labels and musicians have been able to 'anticipate' (but perhaps that's not the right word) the current musical trend, in order to dive into it and sell millions of copies, is proof of the "predictability" of the tastes of the Italian audience (let’s take Italy as a sample), tastes that have been responding, for some time now, in an almost mathematical way, to the same formulas, that type of sound with that type of lyrics, and occasionally, to please, a new element, or one presumed to be new. This is how some musical realities, more or less manufactured, thanks to their glaring media presence, overshadow the rest of the vast, rich musical panorama that, in order to be discovered and savored, must indeed be sought out. The key, essentially, in my opinion, is interest, the feeling of a passion for something that goes beyond the current trend. I realize that this discussion, with its nuances, could go on forever... I wonder why I started it in the first place...

Anyway, ilfreddo is right; the attitude of those who present their opinions as absolute and indisputable truths is always wrong. If one fails to provide any argument for their theses, it leads to total and annoying uselessness.

In my opinion, it's a bit reductive to say that they are targeting a teenage audience looking to get pumped... for the rest, nice review. I really like the album, especially "Full Moon" and "Letter to Dana."
