You're right, the game of leaving something behind is pointless, but we can't say that now. Anyway, let me clarify my position: I don't think these are worthless. In fact, I believe that taken individually, in small doses, and separated from the whole universe of hypocrisy that I think surrounds the group, they could even be enjoyable. Anyway, I won’t comment on this review or others about them anymore; I won’t care anymore... I prefer to ignore it, it’s fairer this way. To each their own. Regards.

Come on, let’s not be hypocritical! The Verdena are absolutely mediocre! The most mediocre of the mediocre! There’s really no denying it. They haven’t invented anything, absolutely nothing: the music is either brutally borrowed from others, or it's just simple melodies from harmless love songs, with totally imported sounds, nothing new at all; the lyrics, on the other hand, are the worst part: they always play on this role, this figure that Alberto has created for himself, of a sensitive, tender guy who has just received his first slap of love and now he’s here to tell us about it with a song and his voice that I find unbearable (but I know, that's my problem). That’s fine at 16, but not at 30, for god’s sake! And don't come to me saying they’ve matured and that this album has profound meanings, for God's sake! I’ve read the lyrics carefully, and I found nothing inside! No poetry, no anger, nothing! The usual little phrases tossed in random order that scream young aspiring intellectual frustrated by life's bitterness. But for heaven's sake! Now I understand that they might be liked! Truly! I get it even if I've taken shots at them! But let’s all admit one thing together: this band will leave nothing, I repeat NOTHING, in the history of rock. Simply because they have nothing to leave you, but everything to take. They might leave a mark on some of you, I understand that, I like mediocre bands too, but I'm aware of it, and I don't go around saying that this or that have made history or brought anything significant to Italian rock. Mediocre.

to be mischievous and wicked to the end... let's take the quote you mentioned: a mature decision on their part, after more than 10 years of career. ridiculous

if Verdena are an original band, I am the son of Apollo. the review isn’t great, and it’s about the 20th one on the same album, but the statement I want to focus on is the last one: “Requiem, a masterpiece”... a masterpiece with 3 stars? anyway, I reiterate that they really get on my nerves.

I listened to the album in its entirety, and I found it damnably corny and boring. The songs always follow a rather banal and predictable fixed pattern. "tears don't fall," which in my opinion is the best track on the album, is catchy and at times energetic, sure, but that’s it; nothing special, a million miles away from being a "revolution." Beyond that, the emo label lately seems to reflect more of a trend than a true genre or a wave of musical influences. Decent review, but frankly exaggerated by the fools.

I honestly can't even explain why they are so popular with young girls :-)
David Silverman The Simpson Movie

completely disappointing film. a few funny moments, the usual good subtle jabs, but overall it's really boring, especially in the middle part. the plot is trivial (but okay, it's the Simpsons) but you don't see those strokes of genius that have always characterized the series. equally disappointing ending. the review is definitely too long, and I have to go eat, so I'm not reading it. maybe in the future...

uhmm.. I downloaded this song by Verdena that sounds a bit copied.. I'd say it's the classic drop that makes the cup overflow: one thing is the want-to-but-can't style, another is cutting and pasting from a song of a (great) band you’re trying to emulate. I've been feeling a certain, deep dislike for these thirty-something singers of endless adolescence for a while now, especially for those among them who write those ridiculously sugary lyrics, and I think it's Alberto, right? Well, now they're officially and intensely getting on my nerves. And I dedicate a 1 of dislike to them.

I can only appreciate them in small, tiny doses... let’s say one song and that’s it; I don't even try to listen to a whole album. The feeling is always that of listening to a whiny, chaotic mess, out of tune, and (let’s be honest) immature, interspersed with “qotsa-style” tracks (a band leagues above them... actually from another planet) that really wish they could but can't. In my opinion, they are incredibly overrated.
