I didn't mind Shyamalan as an actor in this film. He had previously played a modest role in 'Signs', and here he is a bit more in the spotlight. I found the film decent, with nice characters, as the review highlights, but at times the pacing is too slow and the overall lack of credibility makes the viewing experience a bit tedious.

Has lovelorn ever called someone an idiot? Not directly, but some of his comments subtly (but not too subtly) suggest that the guy feels superior to his interlocutors. Lovelorn, come on, personal issues?? Let's be clear: no offense, but I don't care about you at all. I'm just here to state that the blame for the arguments you participate in is, from what I've seen, always yours. Basically, you behave arrogantly.
