It seems to me that you are someone who takes the opinions of others quite seriously. If you had read that review, you would know that I actually gave that rating out of affection for a work that I found nothing more than pleasant, sufficient, but excuse me, I’m sure you’re not interested. And don’t worry, don’t be distressed, I will survive. As for the discussions of “don’t judge by hearsay,” “don’t judge without knowing”… well, frankly from your post it wouldn’t seem that you know the him (metal?? pop metal??) so well. My impression remains that you wanted to play the preacher, but in this case, you are the first to be caught misbehaving. I don’t want to push the controversy further; I don’t think I’m dealing with a novice, you’ve also written some good reviews. The fact remains that as far as I’m concerned, here you’ve made a fool of yourself, to put it mildly. And with all due respect to fools. Sincerely.

@brat12: it's curious that it's you who are making this speech, the sermon about "making judgments without even knowing," especially considering you jumped onto one of my reviews openly stating that you hadn't read it and gave me a 1, also expressing negative opinions about the record in question, which is quite unknown (but hey, you might know it). You're right, though: it's wrong to talk nonsense.

@den vlaams: debaser is not a biased site. It is a site that, thank goodness, guarantees its users the opportunity to express their opinions freely. Any opinion, mine as well as yours. There is no bias, only individual opinions. Whether you like it or not, that's your problem.

In my opinion, the fact that Dream Theater is slowly becoming the laughingstock of the music scene depends more on their fans than on them. Okay, they aren't the best; they are an average band like many others, doing their job. The thing is, unlike others, they are surrounded by a circle of die-hard fans who are completely lacking in critical sense, ready to throw out any nonsense to defend their idols so fiercely that they end up being not only ridiculous but also absolutely annoying. This attitude, which can be seen in the microcosm of Debaser and its reviews, but which, at least in my personal experience, can also be applied to real life, only undermines the credibility of a group that has certainly already seen its heyday and shows an increasingly tragic lack of ideas, compensated only by extraordinary technique, which has now become an end in itself. But we already know this. In the end, I agree with what is expressed in the review, though I refrain from voting on it, as it doesn't seem to me to be a true review.

"Gasoline, double malt, and marijuana" well sounds very interesting. "An album that doesn't invent anything but is capable of perfectly blending Fu Manchu, Kyuss, Black Sabbath, and Sleep." .. I don't know these Wo Fat, but if this is the mix, they must really kick ass, to use a technical expression.

"I haven't read it, but 4 to HIM is crazy"... so what are you doing commenting on a two-year-old review if you don't intend to read it and you're not interested in HIM? Just to give it a double 1? No, really, help me understand, I'm curious.
