Eros Ramazzotti Calma Apparente

What makes me angry is not the humorous tone of the review, but the disdain towards an artist who has created beautiful things. It doesn’t mean that if he’s lost his edge now, his previous works should be disregarded. Do you understand what I mean? And Eros cannot be compared to Pausini, Gigi D'Alessio, and the like because they were born simple-minded.
James Blunt Back To Bedlam
Voto:
The review is decent, the album is very good although in a couple of instances Blunt seems pathetic to me. Lively and sparkling "So long Jimmy," dedicated to Hendrix, is perhaps the peak moment of the album. It's not to be despised, let's not exaggerate. There’s a lot of crap out there; maybe the next one will be even better than this. Regarding the voice, the acid test is the stage. Clearly, in the studio, it’s very expressive and pleasant, but we need to see how it performs live. The arrangements seem a bit too ā€œsyntheticā€ to me; for an album like this, perhaps a more natural sound was needed.
Ryan Adams Rock'n'Roll
Voto:
It’s definitely not Ryan's best album, because Gold is (unfortunately) unattainable. But paradoxically, it's the album I enjoy listening to the most because it’s so out of the box that I can’t help but love it. He’s a genius, as we know, and it’s not true that prolific artists produce low-quality work. In fact, it’s hard to find people who release three albums a year, even if it’s tough to keep up with them (I still haven’t bought any of the three). Unfortunately, this artist isn’t very well known in Italy, and that makes me incredibly mad because only Radio Capital plays his singles. And the TV couldn’t care less, with that crap MTV that blasts only Hip Hop and worthless little divas. When he comes back to Italy, I’ll be in the front row (and to think I traveled to Milan two years ago when he broke his arm: concert canceled, damn it!).

dotsF*ckdots but why do you keep writing? You're pathetic. Go write about what you like, you've pissed us off. Alright... I haven't listened to the album, I have the DVD and it's simply fantastic. I don't totally agree with those who say that Helter Skelter is chilling and All Along the Watchtower is on par with Dylan thanks to Larry Mullen. Besides that, significant and emotional moments permeate the whole film (and the album, I imagine): from Van Diemen's Land to Heartland (with the four visiting Graceland), from Sunday Bloody Sunday that’s moving even in its semi-acoustic version to Running to Stand Still and MLK. It's impossible to recap everything because it's all breathtaking. For me, it was a revelation when I watched the film for the first time. Great professionals and great musicians, able to invent a new, distinct style. And that's not a small thing.
U2 The Joshua Tree

At twenty years old, I find myself listening to one of the most beautiful albums in the history of music. In truth, I’m waiting for all the U2 records to be remastered before I buy them. In the meantime, I have a copy... What can I say? In my opinion, to listen to and understand U2, one should start with Rattle and Hum on VHS or DVD (better). That’s where my "mystical" journey with the four from Dublin began. Damn, they’re as captivating as a Venus. I love them, and they are wonderful people. The book "Il meglio di Propaganda" is also very nice. There are some truly interesting things in it.
U2 Achtung Baby
Voto:
So... I bought this album when I was 14 years old, and only because I liked One. The first two years of listening were incredibly difficult. Achtung Baby was a punch in the stomach, but I didn't know if I could recover or not. Six years later, I truly understood what it was: a break between the '80s and '90s, something never heard before, something anarchic (musically) and devoid of rules. It's pointless for anyone to joke about "Who's gonna ride your wild horses," but there isn't a flaw on the album. I’m fortunate enough to sing in a band, and I can tell you that the emotions songs like "Love is blindness" and "Mysterious ways" give me are unique. For the past 15 years, since Mercury's death, U2 has been the greatest band on the planet; just go to one of their concerts (if you can manage to find a ticket). And you can't say they've let themselves go with albums like Pop and Zooropa, because even if they aren't my favorites, no one else would have had the courage to make such a radical shift in their career. What the hell do Coldplay have to do with this? Pure crap; they should have a bit of that humility that Bono and Co. had in the beginning. They nailed the first album and then? Bland and boring singles. Long live Ireland!!

I haven't listened to the album, but not out of prejudice. The fact is that an artist has to entice you to listen to their work by presenting good singles… and honestly, those are exactly what I can't stand. Too cliché, things heard and re-heard that don't touch the heart, lacking groove. I appreciate Le Vibrazioni much more, even if the name is awful. They are really talented, even though they borrow a lot from Led Zeppelin, and the frontman is a real stage animal.
The Veils The Runaway Found

But who is the idiot who says that voice is terrible? You might not like it, but saying it's awful is blasphemy. So, are Battisti, Bowie, Springsteen, and the rest a bunch of fools?? Anyway, the album is beautiful; the melodies, while drawing inspiration from the past, are never banal. Great review, the guys will go far because they have style and class. They remind me of U2 in their style, although I wouldn't dare make comparisons. Down with Coldplay!

In the meantime: whoever reviews is a presumptuous person who probably doesn't know music as well as they think and has definitely fossilized on one or two genres. And this is said by someone who listens to everything from Eros to Pink Floyd, from Baglioni to BB King. Then: this album is not a good album. Too bad that I've listened to it unlike this "Punitore". I'm very sorry that the album is below my expectations because I thought Eros would decide to challenge himself again, but instead, no. Sure, there are some good tracks like "Solarità" or "Non è amore," but it's too little. We expect more from Eros. I advise our dear "Punitore" to go listen to "In ogni senso" (my review is also there) or "Tutte storie," one of the most refined and original albums of the last 25 years. Not to mention "Dove c'è musica," a true masterpiece of pop music. But maybe pop is only for those who can't read or write, right "Punitore"? It’s also true, however, that the last three albums have left something to be desired, but come on Eros, you have to give more. To hell with the record companies!

The review leaves a bit to be desired as it's too brief; the album is very good, it sounds fresh and has great arrangements. It must be said that probably the Toto have produced killer singles throughout their career, but they've never made a "5-star" album. Toto and Toto IV are excellent, but there's some naivety, especially in the lyrics, as Lukather himself admitted. Live, however, they are absolutely fantastic, perhaps among the top 5 bands on the planet for virtuosity. Let's hope the new album lives up to its name. Come on, Luke! PS: English Eyes is an insane track!
