I don't find it very nice...
U2 The Joshua Tree

"Now I'll fix it and send it to you"... Oh my God, punish them for they know not what they say. From time to time, these somewhat subversive characters appear who enjoy being the voice out of the choir. Please "Enlightened," explain to us why millions and millions of people (who I would say understand music very well) consider this album a masterpiece... You are the classic individual who, if he has prejudices, can't get them out of his head. U2 revolutionized the sound of the '80s and have evolved by delivering a different album each time. To say that this is a 1-star album is more than heresy.
Ryan Adams Easy Tiger
Voto:
My opinion of him is well known: Easy Tiger is the first work done by Adams while sober, as he claimed to have been high on everything for years. In fact, the album is very measured and balanced; it's not his best work, mind you, but it stands out greatly amidst the crap. I don’t agree with the judgement on Halloweenhead, which for me is a really cool track, far from Bon Jovi (by the way, there’s a much softer version floating around on YouTube). For me, the masterpiece remains "Gold," but I particularly love "Love is Hell" and whatever anyone says about "Rock n Roll."
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Hard Promises

Yes, but Tom Petty keeps snubbing Italy. He hasn’t come here for a concert in ages... and I crave...

Great band, saw them live a month ago. Too bad they took a 10-year break.
Julie Taymor Across The Universe
Voto:
I find it simply a film full of poetry, with Goldenthal's new arrangements of the Beatles’ pieces being very convincing and with masterful performances (80% of the songs were recorded live). However, I watched the film in the original language, and the dubbing probably doesn’t do it justice.
Julie Taymor Across The Universe

In my opinion, the choreography is simply wonderful, so much so that anyone, even the critics, have talked about Oscar-worthy choreography. Don't bring up the idea that critics don't understand a thing, because otherwise it's the end.
Brad Anderson The Machinist (L'Uomo Senza Sonno)
Voto:
Well, I literally burst out laughing after watching Fight Club. If you tell me the novel is extraordinary (I haven't read it), it means the film is way below it. I found it self-indulgent and over-the-top. And by the way, Fincher's peak is Seven.

Great review, thorough and precise. I really liked the film when I saw it, but it deserves another viewing. Here, Bale proves to be one of the best actors around. In my opinion, "The Machinist" is much more credible than an overrated film like "Fight Club."
Julie Taymor Across The Universe
Voto:
But it is a masterpiece of Pop Art. The fact that the plot is essential (by the will of Taymor herself) does not mean that the film is stupid. It's pointless to waste time with those who think they possess absolute truth.
