Sean Penn Into The Wild

Really beautiful, heartfelt and reflecting my current state of mind; maybe that’s why I felt a bit like Supertramp last night... The film gives you a noticeable sense of well-being during the viewing. You’re probably around my age and going through some sort of "adulting" crisis. The moment when Alexander, discussing with Mr. Franz, warns, ā€œDo you really think happiness is in relationships with other people? God has placed happiness in everything...ā€ is truly memorable.
Vanessa Van Basten La Stanza Di Swedenborg

"Van Basten didn't play, he danced..." But how true that is...
Tim Burton La Fabbrica Di Cioccolato

Terrifying reviews in content and sometimes in word choice. It's not my favorite by Burton, but this film is quite enjoyable.
James MacTeigue V per Vendetta
Voto:
Awful film, pretentious and with shallow moralizing. I spent 2 hours laughing at the nonsense that came out of V's mouth. I swear I laughed more here than in "Bad Santa."
Todd Haynes I'm Not There

But stop it already. On this site, it seems that we can only discuss music when we write about Robert Wyatt or Nick Drake. If you want to have fun writing this crap, there are the politicians' houses for that. If you have the guts, go out there and spray paint their walls with the cameras filming you. I’m done.

how brainless you are, how the hell do you have fun like this...can Italy go on?
Roland Joffé The Mission

A film that is too over the top; I think it has been greatly overrated. Too many clichés, the indigenous actors seem like expressionless puppets. The film didn’t move me at all. As for the review, I didn’t like it; I didn’t understand where you were going with it: there’s very little discussion about the film itself.
Brad Silberling Una serie di sfortunati eventi

Very nice film, inspired by Burton's style... Carrey is as annoying and odious as he is talented. Sufficient rating.
Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu 21 Grammi

Inarritu was dealing with a plot that was nothing short of sparse and essential: a family man and his two daughters die in an accident caused by a repeat offender, the wife of this man donates his heart to a mathematics professor, who seeks her out, falls in love with her, and together they decide to take revenge on the killer. So the only good thing Inarritu does is to tell this story in his own way, with flashbacks, cuts and stitches, at least giving a little bit of "suspense" to the film (very little, I would say). The best part is undoubtedly Del Toro's performance. My rating is 6.5.
