Gorgeous album, it was performed in full live at the Brixton Academy this year (and I was there). I saw people tearing their hair out.

Seen live on Friday at Glastonbury. To say the least, irritating.

Seen live the other day. The most beautiful concert of the three days of Glastonbury. Immense, thrilling, unique.

Alright, I'll keep quiet. I'm a musician and I haven't only listened to Led Zeppelin and U2; I find it silly and pathetic to belittle a band like that.

Well, if certain songs have that structure, can they be considered junk? The history of rock teaches me that often those are the unforgettable tracks. One thing is fundamental in a song: PATHOS. And in the works of U2, there is plenty of it, especially in their early stuff. I, as a musician, would have paid gold to write an album like "Boy" at 19.

Dear Emerson, at 17, U2 wrote "Out of Control" and at 19, "I Will Follow." Do it too, and you will feel like God.

I’m writing on DB after months and months, waiting to delete my account. I’m writing only because I really liked Primiballi’s review and to share my thoughts: first of all, this is an impeccable record, there are quality songs, and contrary to what some say, I find the production excellent (I listened to it on headphones and that’s the feeling I had). Bono's voice has finally returned to the levels of Achtung Baby and Zooropa. The Edge is back to creating things reminiscent of The Unforgettable Fire, while Clayton and Larry Mullen do their jobs, not as protagonists as in other circumstances. The two things I don’t understand are: how is it possible that there’s such a divide on a record like this between ā€œwork of another timeā€ and ā€œabsolute crapā€? It’s a mystery I can’t explain; secondly, U2 only needed to make two subpar albums (especially the penultimate one) to be criticized left and right. Shall we talk about other music legends like Springsteen, Dylan, Bowie, Elton John, etc.? They too have had some spectacular failures, yet they’re still there, celebrated and revered by everyone (I, for one, love their music). U2 have had the courage to create albums with different sounds each time (except for the previous two), while Depeche Mode has been serving us the same electronic fare for 30 years, and no one says a word. The truth is that when you expose yourself, it’s much easier to be attacked, and Mr. Paul Hewson knows this well now.

Yes, I saw it. You have a picture of a clown and send insights about the 883 and then come to tell me I'm an idiot and that I should set myself on fire just because I like U2? You’re a jerk, you deserve this country of puppets. Goodbye coward.
