dear deathinaugust, in my opinion obviously, the problem isn’t the "scream" but knowing how to use it sparingly. Take for example the album "Empiricism" by Borknagar; for me, it is a MASTERPIECE, where the scream serves both the melody and the clean vocals, and vice versa, the clean vocals serve the scream... to me, there’s no scream better than that of Borknagar, I adore them... thanks for the recommendations, I will study everything calmly, I’m surprised you didn’t mention Anathema among the albums with "clean" vocals, an amazing band :)...
