@Contemplation, I follow you with interest; your writings are always of high quality... but I'm in a more commercial phase, wandering to other places... the Blue Note is stored on my hard disk, sooner or later I'll listen to it... :)...

You're right about what you say... but here's the thing, I would make an exception for Jarrett, but if you're already talking to me about the starting standards, the ones that are sung, then it becomes really difficult for me, I find vocal jazz really, very, very boring... after all, you're talking to an ex metalhead, an ex progressive fanatic... now I listen to a bit of everything, but the only jazz I can digest is that rich in fusions, like Corea, Weather Report, Zorn... and of course Jarrett...

I will take the risk... a few years ago, if someone had told me that I would become passionate about solo piano performances, lasting even 40 minutes, I wouldn't have believed it ;)...

Contemplation, you write beautifully, and you are knowledgeable... you are not cold, and your passion shines through your words... I love Jarrett solo, but I will try to listen to these albums; from how you describe them, they seem unmissable...

@Contemplation, I missed your review, I will go read it... but for the trio and the various quartets, I have several doubts, in terms of tastes obviously, I don’t know, they just don’t grab me, it’s too pure jazz, too mannered... whereas the piano solos hit straight to the heart...
