among the best of those years... refinement and class... unforgettable, for me...

The poster makes me think of "The Lover" by Jean Jacques Annaud; in some way, does this parallel hold true?...
Claudio Baglioni Io Sono Qui

In my opinion, 90% of the commenters on this page aren't familiar with this album... they surely disregard the huge work done by Baglioni over the years (I don’t necessarily mean it should be shared), great lyrics, never banal choruses... sure, music has changed, it's much more complex and often less beautiful and romantic than in the early days (one proof is that he's not placing big singles on the charts anymore, by the way his last huge success is, for me, a terrible song of mortal boredom, Mille giorni di te e di me). Nevertheless, many of these tracks are gems... this applies to the subsequent albums as well, try listening to "Quei Due," a poignant piece with beautiful lyrics and truly dramatic music...

At first listen, I'm quite disappointed... there's very little singing, the experimentation seems too self-indulgent, the references are tossed in... too much recitation... but above all, almost entirely lacking is MELODY and a full-throated vocal performance... I'll listen to it again, but I don't think it can tell me much else...

You went hard, but you made your point... despite everything, I liked the album... it's not a masterpiece, of course... I love "Dig"...

...shall we talk about Verdone? then the years of Verdone... I certainly wasn’t referring to De Sica...

...and I add that, for me, for better or for worse (but mostly for the better) in the very sad Italian cinematic landscape, Verdone has made cinema... the rest is just chatter... the line: "no! Burt no!!!" is spectacular...

great review, a very successful film, with excellent dialogues, perfectly capturing Italy of those years (not that today’s is any better)... the ending shot in the anonymous suburbs of Rome (definitely better than the suburbs of other cities, Naples for example) is a touch of class and history not to be underestimated, summarizing all the malaise of “our” trapped destiny... for me, a great film...
