Jacques-Louis David La Mort de Marat
Voto:
Somewhere it is written that the arm represented by David is inspired by that of Christ in the deposition painted by Caravaggio... I believe that David, although he was the pinnacle of neoclassical painting, in this canvas perhaps unconsciously anticipates some themes of romanticism... oh my, it's just my opinion, however... beautiful reception, very precise... it could use more... instinctuality... :)

It's just my opinion... but true art needs to be contextualized, and this kind of landscape is out of time... devoid of any message... that said, there would be a realistic intent, but nowadays, the only painting that can afford to be without a "message" must be hyper-realistic, and here we are light-years away from hyperrealism; the aesthetic result is banal and plasticky, not even the backgrounds of Disney cartoons are this superficial!!! Contemporary art must be rich in meaning or possess a fierce expressive force!!! but this is just my opinion!!! one of the ugliest and most useless canvases I've ever seen!!! even more useless than mine ;)...

Yes The Yes Album

@ BERLINBOY85, I can’t argue with you... but at least I hope I spoke a little about the album :)
Keith Jarrett The Koln Concert
Voto:
It's an album that you listen to, and it gives you pleasure... notes that take your hand and lift you up high (I avoided the cliché rhyme with the word... far away)... everything else is small talk... only the emotion matters...
Alunni del Sole Raccolta di successi
Voto:
I believe they are simple but not trivial... it’s hard to talk about love, and they knew how to do it, simply, but why complicate something so beautiful? Moreover, I wonder how many of you have really listened to those songs, full of catchy and evocative melodies, perfectly harmonized with the words... I like the Alunni del Sole, I’m not ashamed to admit it... I would be ashamed if I stole, but that's not my habit... try listening to the melodies of "Un'altra poesia"... good Alunni del Sole to everyone...

Skep, I hope your skepticism is towards the review and not the album...
Umberto Eco Il Nome Della Rosa
Voto:
written in the best possible Italian... rich in ideas and quotes, a majestic yellow... for me it has no rivals... in fact it hasn't been able to repeat itself... the pendulum is excruciatingly boring, the island of the day before is chaotic, but interesting... Baudolino, perhaps the best after this... but it's just my modest opinion...

I find that this is their best work since Morse, these are stunning "Is This Love?" and "They Know We Know," as well as "Rearranged."
