Papa Roach The Paramour Sessions
Voto:
From INFEST, which was pure nu-metal, to this latest album, the shift in sound towards something more "commercial" is evident, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a flaw... Anyway, the typical aggression of the band remains the same in these last two albums... only now it’s channeled into pop-rock structures or melodic emo-core styles (just listen to the ooh ohooo... choruses or sugary hooks). I like them just the same today as I did yesterday, and as long as the songs captivate me, whether it’s commercial pop or metal, I really don’t care... I find the Papa Roach of these last albums quite similar to bands like LOST PROPHETS and FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND (whom I know and appreciate), meaning they are following the same (evolution?) musical path...
