The change or metamorphosis (or even commercialization) according to me, they already had it with "GETTING AWAY WITH MURDER" (and that could have been enough!) but with this latest album & the previous "the paramour sessions" they have only softened their proposal even more, making it increasingly soft & sugary, offering nothing interesting anymore but just simple hyper-melodic little songs or with a "harmless" grit comparable to the melodic emo-core bands that are out there... I feel sadness in hearing what they sound like TODAY compared to what they did in the past (see the first good albums).

Parts of this cd are strikingly similar to U2's "All You Can't Leave Behind", which came out 2 years after Neapolis.

Tears For Fears Raoul And The Kings Of Spain
Voto:
Well, it took me a long time to realize that "Raoul and the Kings of Spain" is perhaps my favorite and perfect album by Tears For Fears, alongside the previous "Elemental" (including the beautiful bonus tracks I retrieved from the various singles released for this album: Queen of Compromise - All of the Angels - Until I Drown - The Madness of Roland).
I agree when the reviewer says:
There's a lack of the usual lightness and extravagance, the electronics are kept to a minimum, guitars dominate, sometimes quite harsh, and above all, there's no Beatles-like aftertaste in the melodies and harmonies this time.
That's the beauty of this album! Even though it might seem like the antithesis of what their sound has always been in the past.

The only thing I remember and know about this Artist is the music video for "demasiado corazon" that I used to watch on Videomusic or already Tmc2 (more than ten years ago), a song that is quite caliente & simpatico nonetheless!

yes... but it's throughout the entire piece that I have this unpleasant feeling of hearing some Linkin Park...

"START OF THE BREAKDOWN" listening to the keyboard part from 00:49 to 01:05 makes me think of some tracks by Linkin Park... maybe they drew inspiration from it???
