In short, I would have preferred if it continued down the path of the complexity of visions & the focusing... not by chance, I also really like "empiricism" and "epic" (BORKNAGAR) where his voice shines even more in a more aggressive and prog context (also beautiful "enterprise" CRONIAN).

My favorite albums are: "till fjalls," "cosmic genesis," and "the focusing blur." This record is more than enough (like its predecessor "solens rotter") but it doesn't blow me away like the rest of the discography.

I own the first digipack pressing of AVANTGARDE (the Milanese label), the album is beautiful, unique but a bit immature because it's still too anchored to the symphonic black metal genre... (to be honest, some of Cornelius's acid screams only remind me of Dani's screams from Cradle Of Filth's early period related to "the principle of evil..." "vempire" or their very first demos) so I much prefer the successor "neonism," which has a wide range of blended sounds, a TRIP, that makes the listening experience unique and sensory, leaving you astonished, shocked just like the addiction to a drug.
