Please!! It’s absurd that I read comparisons of Franz Ferdinand with INTERPOL!! It doesn’t stand up at all!! I mean, are we joking?!?? Musically speaking, INTERPOL has everything: a drummer with balls of steel, Daniel makes himself widely respected with the guitar, and Carlos on bass can pull out incredible things (just see what he does on Obstacle#1!) and then of course Paul Banks with that intriguing and surrendering voice whose merits know no bounds!! In my opinion, INTERPOL with Turn of the Bright Lights gifted the whole world a masterpiece!! A glorious, unconventional CD that has immortalized them forever in the pantheon of rock. So, the comparison really doesn’t hold up even if you wanted it to!! For heaven's sake, I like FF a lot, but to compare them or even just to associate them with the four guys from New York is a stretch.. Quite a slim reception, but for me it still reaches a passing grade, nothing more.

I agree about Appetite; I also consider it a good album, even though they have never conveyed that much talent to me. Nonetheless, I recognize the passion behind it. As for Axl's operation, I had no idea... now it all makes sense.
