Interpol were a band that managed to stand out because they have talent to spare. Their distinctive sound earned them the success they achieved. Honestly, tracks like STELLA, UNTITLED, and OBSTACLE#1 coined their success. It's true about their 80s new wave influence (see connections to Joy Division and Television), but those comparisons seem somewhat irrelevant when faced with their talent and musical genius. I REITERATE: it was not a critique aimed at you and your review but at some comments I had read.
