Bret Easton Ellis Meno Di Zero

Ultimately, it's the freshest novel by Ellis, without many of the lexical and literary frills that will come later. I would call it a cult book, perhaps overrated, but if it's simply about conveying a MOOD (as you rightly said), it does that really well. Like all the musical descriptions (concerts, t-shirts, posters) that are almost voyeuristic: psychedelic furs, costello, etc. Or like the drives along the mysterious (he got there before Lynch) Mulholland Drive. Strangely minimalist, which can also be a soft punch in the stomach..... Ah, you forgot to mention the X, which Ellis himself brings up at the end of the book as a bit of a symbol of a certain era, indeed, in Los Angeles (the boy in the book listens to the song with the city's name). In a somewhat clever way, Ellis has captured an era with this book with a snapshot made of words...
Enzo Carella Vocazione

Damn, I wanted to do it myself ;) Anyway, great review and a beautiful album, especially for "Malamore" Battisti said he would have liked to make a piece like that. In "Vocazione" the mix of lyrics and music is perfect: great Panella, but even more impressive Carella, who brings out innovative and fresh music for the Roman and Italian scene of the time - as he himself says in one of the tracks: "scuola romana di musicalità-à-à-à!"

Barry Levinson Rain Man

Perfect film, both in terms of direction, soundtrack, and the sparks of light and shadow that blend so seamlessly on American roads and in hidden motel nooks.... Evocative and timeless eighties: here we can be anywhere....
A Farmer Sea Helsinki Under The Great Snow

Wow! Snow in Helsinki? Mmmmmm....Interesting note; by the way, is the cover an homage to the cover of Nebraska by Springsteen? If so, it surpasses it in beauty thanks to the puppet on the left!
Gazzetta dello sport Michael Jordan: His Airness

I also still have an original Bulls jersey, Jordan on my back. When I played, I also tried to make those amazing dunks... Now I remember a game, maybe an NBA Finals, I can’t recall. There were the Bulls with Jordan and the Indiana Pacers with Miller and a white guy with blondish mustache. In the end, the Pacers won the game, and the decisive three-pointer was made at the buzzer by the guy with the mustache. What do you think, am I remembering something that doesn’t exist, or is it also familiar to you? Because that game really stuck with me, a bit like a dream. :D
Barry Levinson Sleepers
Voto:
stunning film, great Levinson, stellar cast but it doesn't create a "kolossal-polpettone-commerciale," rather, as I've said before, it's simply a stunning film...one of my favorites. How can you say that Levinson is not a great director? (which of course depends on what you mean by that). I love the precise yet personal way he uses the camera, I love the atmospheres he creates, the colors... He has always pursued particular projects and great stories, which also have the merit of being beautiful stories (see Rain Man in the first place, but also the particular Sphere) ;)
