The Legendary Pink Dots Asylum

What a thing, the legendary pink dots... They rarely pop up around, and even here on Debaser, like rare little mushrooms... Creativity and almost legend, amidst glimpses of nonexistent or hard-to-find albums with magnificent covers, deeper than the underground but with an attitude towards art and music far superior to the average... Not many know them, and I myself have heard a bit too little about them, also because there's little to find: but isn’t this what creates the legend?! And isn’t this what makes our mouths water as we, by profession, are listeners of records? Even though this group’s abilities can be easily highlighted along with their limits (as you rightly mentioned), if there is anyone here who knows them well, please speak up and throw out a couple of recommended album titles besides this one. Great write-up, algeon!

We are the old guard of debaser.
Pretazzo is back.
So, syllogism, the old guard is back.
Or is pretazzo debaser? Or is debaser old?
Or maybe the syllogism is a guard???....Mmmhhh.....
Welcome back ;)

A beautiful film, raw, at times smoky and poetic.

As I already told you, I really liked it. You wrote it with passion and attention, and you truly convey the idea of the atmosphere that was at the club. A special greeting to Shelley's belly;)

Both the manga and the anime are beautiful...I remember an episode where they find an old photo in the attic of Maison Ikkoku from many years before, with a group of people, and in that photo, there's also Yotsuya, who seems to be the same age as many years later...In short, I remember this anime a bit lost in my afternoon memories, somewhat sleepy...maybe, as you said, timeless...

It's a pleasure to read you again, Zion, how are you? In the past, your recommendations had me discovering some top-notch stuff, like the reviews on Company Flow, Cloudded, etc. So, as soon as I have a little free time, I'll start the (a tribe called) quest for this album ;) Take care.

Stunning, like everything Cleese has done (see Fawlty Towers). The story of the Danish man who died laughing seems almost like a scene from "The Meaning of Life" by the same Pythons :)

Greetings Hal, after a long leap through time, here we are again, at least I am here again, all in one piece... You won't believe it, but while I was wandering a bit on the internet tonight, among websites and small sites, between downloads and music searches (of course with debaser open there), a certain feeling came back to me... a feeling that was hard to grasp, it seemed more like a distant echo... maybe it came from years ago, perhaps from another evening spent on debaser (when we would spend an hour or two before sleeping)... well, the magic of this site brought back a glimmer of memory, I think it was a review... I caught it, the memory... it was one of your reviews... I remembered you would have trouble sleeping at night and would tune into radio 3... but which review was it, I asked myself??... so, while downloading something from other sites, I wandered a bit through your reviews, hoping that the one I was looking for was still there (after all these years) :) I was right, here it is, ethereal and pleasant as I remembered it... Perhaps those floating sounds you talk about in the review had stuck with me, and I needed to reread them, even though I’ve never listened to this album... maybe I will... or perhaps I will wait a few more years and look for this review again... In the meantime, I send you my regards and hope things are going well for you, and that as the years go by, we'll still find some great records to listen to. Enjoy your Sardinia, I returned to Stintino (which is close to you) last year after a long time, it was packed with people, but how beautiful it is... Happy summer, your old floating friend, DanteCruciani

How nice, Russia on Ice live... I've never been so lucky, even though I've seen two of their concerts :)
Great review, written in the wave of post-concert emotions, as if the film of that evening is all in your head. A nice breath of fresh air in this hot, and I mean hot, summer.
