To review this album, I preferred to write an "emotional" review rather than analyze it with a microscope point by point (see Scaruffi and co.); mainly to convey the kind of emotions an album like this can generate, which, not to sound elitist, I believe is not easily accessible to everyone. As I explained, you need to make an effort to understand it, and then you can enjoy it... thank you for the appreciation...

Everything said in the review applies to me as well... :-)
The Stranglers The Raven

this is one of the many lesser-known albums from the era... proving that if you dig deep in the mine of new wave, you can stumble upon many beautiful treasures... the keyboards on this record are exceptional!
CCCP - Fedeli alla linea 1964-1985. Affinità-divergenze fra il compagno Togliatti e noi...

I would like to have the time (because I have the desire) to read everything written up to this point... The CCCP (and the later CSI) remain among the greatest Italian bands of all time... and it's thanks to them that today we have Marlene Kuntz, Afterhours, and the like.

Well, "del mondo" remains a beautiful song... but it's just one of the many gems that make up this album, from "intimisto" to "la lune du prajou" to "in viaggio" to... Ferretti's voice is always hypnotic and grand.
Frank Zappa Roxy & Elsewhere

:-) I wonder why, I was expecting a plot like that from Zappa...
Pere Ubu The Modern Dance
Voto:
The way of presenting themselves, the themes addressed by the group, and even the name Pere Ubu refer back to the work of Alfred Jarry: UBU ROI, a play where perhaps the foundation of the absurd and the ridiculous was laid (I make myself sick).... if you get the chance and if you like the genre, give it a read.
Pere Ubu The Modern Dance

It’s one of the masterpieces of 20th-century music, and David Thomas is a genius in the way I appreciate… the review, in my opinion, could have been more in-depth, especially regarding the philosophy that underlies the entire album, because these are not just records; they are works of art comparable to a Pollock painting (I disgust myself).

Hats off to the experimentation of the time with the album... I found it, after much searching, only as a reissued vinyl (just like The Modern Dance by Pere Ubu) and I must say it's a great kick... what a cover!!
