The album isn't bad, but the review is crap, and it’s pointless to take it out on those you call metalheads; it’s not their fault if you consider Jack Frusciante (who would be John Frusciante) a virtuoso, given that he seems like a goat with a toy guitar… The only point I agree with: Flea always sounds good, and it's one of the reasons this band has had such a long musical life.

I don't know if the review is copied or not, so I won't rate it; as for the album, I listened to it even though I've never liked the genre, and I have to say it's one of the worst CDs I've ever heard. Instead of wasting time listening to these pseudo-musicians or commenting 10 times in three days, voting each time to inflate the stats, listen to real music.
Ska-P ¡¡Que corra la voz!!

The ska.p are (or were) nothing more than apples, and they certainly left something in the ska landscape, especially for their ability to talk about serious matters (and to be taken seriously) with rather cheerful music. As for their musical abilities, they are nothing exceptional, given their excessive use of keyboards and the like. Serious ska is, however, another thing, and in any case, the ska-p have commercialized themselves too much to manage to break out of the boundaries of their city, something that equally talented and inventive bands, less inclined towards commercialism and mass listening, struggle to achieve.

I don’t rate the album simply because it’s not an album, but pressed garbage that apparently appeals to those who have no clue what music is. It’s despicable that it’s on the market, and even more despicable that someone actually buys it.

Weather Report Black Market

Not a bad review, but with a small inaccuracy: Alphonso Johnson was the "regular" bassist until '76, when he went solo to form another band. The Weather were in the middle of recording Black Market and absolutely needed a bassist to complete the album. Jaco went into the studio and played with the Weather Report "Cannonball," a tribute to Cannonball Adderley, who passed away in August '75. It was a success, and additionally, he contributed another tune, "Barbary Coast." Still, I think the Weather were great and marked a more than significant chapter in the history of Jazz Fusion.

Spectacular album, but not the best.
Nothing to say about Jaco except that he was and will always be the best bassist in the world.

Nice review, but the album didn't fully convince me, although I recognize that the DM are valid and capable musicians, and the last album isn’t to be thrown away.
