Madonna Like a Virgin

Since I see you a bit lonely, I'll chime in just to say that the album deserves one star, but no more. The review is fun, although I would have appreciated some comments of a musical nature... Still nice. (I made sure to include all the doubles, right?)

In my opinion (and I’m only expressing a feeling), Madonna is (as I’ve said before) a great manager and has the ability to understand what the market wants: to constantly change requires not only guts but also a great business sense. Of course, she also writes her own songs, nobody denies that, even though she has collaborators who ā€œrefineā€ everything (like many other musicians do); I still think that changing based on market needs isn’t ā€œright,ā€ and I personally would never do it.
She’s definitely not the icon of my (or our) time, and as I repeat, the fact that she’s successful doesn’t mean anything, given the myriad of emerging and established singers and groups who are much better than many who do have or have had success.
In conclusion, I don’t like Madonna and I’m disgusted by 90% of her songs, but it’s always a matter of taste, because there are also people, like you, who like Madonna.
P.S.: saying that she does it only for the music is also nonsense, because with all the money she has, she could give away the CDs.

As I see it, everyone can express their thoughts without being labeled as ignorant, especially not by a stranger who certainly doesn't know me. Moreover, I find it excessive to call a singer like Madonna a goddess: she may have brought emotions, but it's also clear that she doesn't make music solely for that reason, and the fact that she has continuously evolved her style is another indicator. If you're making music just to evoke emotions, you're trying to express a certain type of feelings through your music, which doesn't change based on people's tastes. At least on this point, you can't call me ignorant.

In fact, fortunately, it’s not the success of an album that determines its beauty. What I meant to say is that it seems to me almost as if they are using the name "Nomadi" to continue selling, and that if they had formed a new band with a different name, they wouldn’t have achieved the same success they are having. (They are still musicians, and I respect them as such, but I wouldn’t buy any more of their CDs.)

effective and straightforward review, I'm almost tempted to buy the CD. Recently, they played in San Mauro (wonderful concert!). Despite the age of the band, they are still very engaging on stage. I won't rate the album because I haven't listened to it yet, but I'll drop by to listen once I'm done.

It's a pity: I don't understand why certain groups don't disband for good, instead of dragging on the wave of a success that's long gone; the only result they achieve is to make those who knew the old nomads reminisce (for those who knew them before) or to completely dislike them (for the younger ones who don't know the true nomads).
Nice review, but you've done better.

After a long period of absence, I find myself commenting on this review again and I feel quite annoyed doing so. I would like to add a couple of things: to begin with, I listened to the album at a friend's place, and I'm listening to it again right now, trying to see if a hasty initial assessment might have led me to erroneous conclusions...
Well, I've just finished listening and I’ve come to the same conclusions as before: Madonna is a great manager, and that's precisely why she has managed to stay on top for 25 years, continuing to sell; she has focused her life on money and records sold more than on music. She has managed to sell so much thanks to her instinct, which led her to record the right album at the right moment, but as far as I'm concerned, the rest is worth nothing. The sad thing, for a person like her, is that one day she will find herself at the point where her previously infallible business acumen fades away (it will happen sooner or later), and at that point, she will look back on her musical career and realize that she dedicated it all to money and not to music, since those are two different things.
I therefore wish her to continue writing hits for many more years, but ultimately she will realize that nothing is left for her, except for a mountain of money and a reputation as a whore, which she surely is, at least in musical terms.

I give it a 1 because there's no 0 and because she has undeniable commercial skills (Madonna); as for the rest: she's a whore, instead of making music she could have been a manager in some company, saving us from an endless series of useless albums, just as useless as her numerous facelifts (don't worry, sooner or later she'll age and become a hysterical old woman, but still a whore, mind you...). One last note for mitica: stop giving votes every time you write some nonsense, just to inflate the statistics of this shitty album, since yours are the only positive comments.

the rotten world has sold out and that never does good for hip-hop; he had talent, listening to his old freestyles, but he threw it away for money.
