Caravaggio and Kandinsky are two great artists. If someone only knows the latest works of Kandinsky, they might think he only knows how to make colorful little triangles that intersect. But his art has deep roots; for example, look at Russian Woman In A Landscape from 1906, where it's evident that he is capable of much more than just drawing colorful little triangles. Kandinsky, with his seemingly childlike colorful triangles, moves me just as much as Caravaggio does, albeit in a different way.

And here, Primiballi, you find me in full agreement with you, as if we were cloned without distinguishing the original.
PS I'm waiting for your comment on Eros.

To my wife, who gets emotional in front of Eros, I always say – my goodness, and if you understood Mozart, what would you do? Would you vibrate with emotion at every note of his? Think about what you’re missing – In the end, Mickey Mouse and Hemingway's stories are two different things for me, aren’t they?
I also used to get emotional about the Pink Floyd, but when I "discovered" Debussy, Mozart, Puccini, etc., many years ago, I changed my perspective on MUSIC a bit. So, speaking of Pink Floyd (of whom I am a fan), what can I say? Well, "classical music" I wouldn't call it; perhaps "music of the twentieth century" seems a more appropriate term. Putting the Pink Floyd in the same compartment as Stockhausen and Luigi Nono (even though I don't believe in rigid compartments) doesn't seem fair considering they have a musical knowledge that allows them to "handle" music with confidence and professionalism, while the Pink Floyd, though incredibly talented, like almost all pop musicians, move forward through trial and error, lacking adequate technical support. Perhaps the labels we put on music could be based on its use, like we do for medicines. On the other hand, isn’t music a kind of medicine?

Rimiballi, let's open a beautiful but very long discussion that would be amazing to have in person, especially since I've enjoyed reading several of your reviews. However, I admit that the phrase “la musica vera non è certo il campo della cultura vera” is a bit totalitarian, but I meant to say that pop music, in my opinion, serves different purposes (except for rare exceptions) but certainly not for creating high culture. In a world where singers have taken the place of philosophers, everything becomes relative, and for some, Eros Ramazzotti could even be considered a great Artist.

Pun, don't take it the wrong way, it was obvious and logical, at least from my perspective, that my comment was a playful provocation meant to jab, and I see with pleasure that it got to you, come on, let's laugh about it, with internet friendship.
PS: I really liked the review a lot.

God save us from those men who know the difference between sin and virtue and want to teach it to the world.
Especially and above all when it comes to music.

It seems to me that Eros's music moves millions of people; if one wants to call all these people fools, well, that seems excessive. Ramazzotti has also made some nice stuff, and even teenagers and girls have the right to have their own music.
You don't necessarily have to listen to jazz to feel emotions through music. One can feel moved in front of a painting by Dalì, but also in front of a little daisy picked in a meadow.
Just as the music of Pink Floyd is for cerebral people, Eros's music is for simple folks, and I don’t see that as a flaw.
Of course, in a hundred years, people probably won't talk about Eros anymore, but they will likely still talk about the Pinks.
Belittling a plastic plate by comparing it to a porcelain one doesn’t seem fair to me; they are two different things for different uses, like Eros’s music and that of Pink.
My wife (a saintly woman) prefers plastic plates (so she doesn’t have to wash them), while I prefer porcelain ones, but in any case, you can enjoy exquisite dishes on both (or not?).
Punnisher, what Mac do you have? I have three: an ancient PowerBook, an 8100, and a new iBook.

Light music is certainly not the realm of true culture; often musicians struggle with a childlike instrumental and compositional technique. There’s nothing wrong with that if their art delights and moves people. But to desperately seek Art in light music, criticizing figures like Ramazzotti, seems a bit childish to me. Mr. Ramazzotti performs the role of a singer with great professionalism, reaping enormous profits from it. For us poor employees earning a thousand euros a month, it can certainly be annoying and create envy, but criticizing him out of mere bias doesn’t seem fair. Often, those who can't make music their profession lash out at figures like Eros, yet when listening to the music assembled by these guys, one often finds incompetence deserving of the most clueless hobbyists.
So I wonder:
Let his detractors try to set up a business like Eros’s, to earn billions with their own songs, and then I’ll accept their criticism. Taking potshots from the seat of one’s miserable office seems infinitely sad to me.
Punisher, don’t hold it against me,
PS: are you a Mac sicko like me too?

Dear SiRpSiChOsExY89, I'm sorry for those who made light of your review; I don't think they meant to be mean, maybe they just didn't realize that you're only 17. Anyway, the review isn't bad and conveys well the love you have for RHCP. It might be a bit immature, but you'll have time and opportunities to evolve. However, you should write in lowercase; writing in uppercase on the internet is considered shouting. Also, there are a few little mistakes that made me smile friendly, but I forgave them—sometimes, the eagerness in writing leads to such errors. In short, don't pay them any mind......... we're looking forward to your second review!!!
