James Taylor In the Pocket
Voto:
I'm glad to see all these reviews of James. I had done the one about the live show (and it was the first one on James), but I didn't think there were so many of his admirers. I'm pleasantly surprised, thank you Paolo, for the contribution.

It's a pleasure to occasionally meet someone who knows how to understand and appreciate BEAUTY. In a world that consumes us between indifference and casualness, we feel less like strangers, thanks Mr. No.........thank you.

senuior, don't get angry, come on, it's just music.
Anyway, the contempt you're talking about is, I think, an integral part of the Punisher character.
I would say, you write a review of this album, so we have another perspective to consider.
And then, in my opinion, there's no crime in making commercial catchy pop music, etc., etc.
My wife adores Eros, and I have the utmost respect for him even though my tastes are diametrically opposed.
Well, that said, we're waiting for your review!!!!!!!!! Come on!!!!!

Senior, look, maybe you didn't understand the spirit of dear Punisher. He is a character, a caricature; I really don't think the person behind the Punisher character is arrogant. It clearly comes through in his reviews that he knows and understands what he’s talking about. Try reading the review again with humor and irony, and you'll see it in a whole new light.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Concerto per Clarinetto e Orchestra in La maggiore K. 622

Well done, Hal, I thought to myself, I wonder if the most famous and prolific reviewer on Debaser will share his thoughts. You pleasantly surprised me; the clarinet concerto K622 is one of my favorites (along with the horn concerto K447). Great review, well, mine on the piano sonatas is a bit light-hearted, provocative, and teasing, while yours rightly does justice. Bravo, bravo, bravo and once again bravo (well, for Mozart I can't find worthy adjectives or ratings, in fact, I don't give any).

I struggled a bit to read it, because of the Tuscan expression,
but I had a lot of fun. Congratulations on your creativity.
I didn't quite grasp the "Task" of the "Punisher," perhaps due to my perpetual distraction.
Now I will go read the others with new eyes.
Thank you for being there, Punisher.

Have you tried doing as I describe in the review? Tilt your head to one side and pay attention to how you "see" the world? Give it a try, take a moment to hum a song from the album in your mind, try it and then let me know, maybe after that you'll understand the review and Battiato's music better......( heheheheheh )

I almost forgot, I would be curious to read your review of an album that already has one. You say, "there are dozens of albums I would have liked to review but for which I believe I can't express myself better than those who did it before me... so I don’t do it." But why not? It’s not a competition for who writes the prettiest review; it’s the diversity of the review and the related comments that makes it interesting. Think about it for a moment and then let me know.

Voiceface, indeed, my review does not aim to be any better or worse than yours (which, by the way, I think is very well done); perhaps it aims to complement it. One can review a painting by Fontana and say, "well, there’s a cut in the middle of the canvas, etc., etc., etc." or talk about the emotions that cut evokes. Don't you think? Different interpretations of the word "review"? That's just fine. Debaser is a fantastic site also for this, for the variety of its visitors.
