@Fosca: the title track was the last song written for the album.

As a superfan: this is the worst album by Subsonica, of course when compared to the previous ones. Overall, the sound is good, pleasant, and there are plenty of interesting ideas (the title track, Serpente, il Diluvio, and Tra gli dei). However, the weak point for me are the lyrics, which are not very cryptic, more straightforward, and alas, too simple. Still, it's an enjoyable album, but Microchip Emozionale, Amorematico, and L'eclissi are light-years away. And then "La Funzione"... damn, what a mess.
I would rate the review a 2 because it's not very thorough, but I'm rounding down because you’re talking about the Subs, sooner or later I’ll do it too :-)

I liked just a little bit "God hates us" from the last album; the rest I listened to with great difficulty. Musically, maybe there's someone decent, I think of Synyster Gates.

Well, reviews are personal; if they're not shared, it's not a problem—feel free to give me a one-star rating :) I have the original album; I listened to it a lot back in the day, but it's quite far from the self-titled. For me, this work marked the beginning of the decline, the downfall, the regression. The albums that followed confirm my thesis.
