It was about time someone talked about it here. Anyway, I haven't really felt all this melody, actually... and then you mention ballads... what ballads are there on the Born Of Osiris album?
Anyway, great album, alongside the one from Letlive it's one of the best releases of this year. And if last year Sumerian treated us to Periphery, this year we've got Born of Osiris and soon the debut from Structures, which is shaping up to be a blast!

Ahah, very funny de-review, read with pleasure. After further listens, I confirm my rating, which is 4. Great album, but from Mastodon, we expected something more psychedelic and less straightforward.

A great album, after a few missteps, Welcome Home Armageddon has been an excellent comeback. After all, it was already evident from the EP that the album in question would be a hefty undertaking. One of my favorite albums of this year, without a doubt.

Mastodon The Hunter

A good album if we forget for a moment who we are talking about. If we then remember that The Hunter is played by Mastodon, then the comparison with their older works completely sinks it. Nevertheless, it's an enjoyable album with a few gems here and there.

So I'm not the only one. "Wake the Dead" remains the peak, the change of singer and the subsequent "Broadcasting" left me with a bitter taste, so much so that I didn't even want to listen to this new album. Do you think I'm wrong? In any case, great cover!
