Deep Purple Slaves And Masters

...in short, and generalizing, it is true that a review, being subjective by definition, cannot be objective, but it is also true that it should not be entirely undemocratic... that’s all! The album can appeal, as it features interesting moments... but you didn’t mention this... therefore, you were too negative. Regards.

...my friend, I didn’t say that you are stupid; I said that the review is Stupidly categorical... which is quite different... and I stand by that because this is not an objectively terrible album, but simply a record that distances itself from the typical sound of a band... a bit like the self-titled album by M Crue... to make myself clear. So, taking into account that the album, as it is inspired by a commercial vein, can still be enjoyable, it seems completely wrong to conclude a review (analytical as you want) by stating categorically that the album is terrible and should be avoided like the plague, because that’s not the case. Many of us, for example, really like the album. This confirms, therefore, that your hasty conclusion is intrinsically wrong! No hard feelings.

I find the classification based on labels to be very foolish. The album, although permeated by commercial intent, features fairly convincing melodies. Turner's voice lends the disco a certain stylistic depth. Inusulae and different from the usual Purple, but that doesn’t mean it should be avoided; the album is a good album, but only for those who don’t let themselves be blinded by blinkers… A shortsighted, narrow-minded, and stupidly transcendental review.

..forget everyone about the 1981 album, "A Collection of Great Dance Songs," which contains a new version of Money. The cover of that album was very surreal (or let's say rather euphemistic..) By the way, speaking of covers; I would say that the one for this album is truly superb; a multi-reality mirror play, somewhat like that of Ummagumma... As for the tracklist, well, no comment... I’ll just say that they form one of the possible collections of Pink...

..which, however, aren't worth much....(although, in my opinion, those stories are more beautiful than Jerry's...) Martin Mystère, on the other hand, I know little about.. I have some scattered issues.. Anyway, if they are original, keep them.. the early numbers are worth quite a bit (certainly not as much as Zagor or Tex!). Nathan Never, on the other hand, I honestly have never managed to appreciate too much.. Maybe it's because of the overly futuristic imprint that pervades his stories.

..Great! It's really him! In my reviews, I like to mix things up... and anyway, my first ones were inspired by a certain Vic Sorriso... Anyway, I prefer that song by Diamond Head (which I saw a year ago as the opening act for Megadeth in Milan) in the cover version by Metallica (in Garage Inc., the solo by the now finished Kirk Hammett is stunning).

...a real load of crap, really... with what they're worth!!! I still need about 45 Zagor issues... (funny enough, the first 45...!!!!) I completed the original Dylan collection about a year ago... but I also have the first 100 issues of Nathan Never, all the issues of Dampyr, and the first 500 of Tex... (not to mention hundreds of American and Japanese comics... in the not-so-distant future, though, I might be tempted to get rid of almost everything (albeit with a heavy heart..!) just to complete the Zagor collection...!!!!

..ah and by the way Daisley is not later than Sarzo..he makes his debut in his debut album as a musician and composer...then he will be dropped in favor of Rudy..and this "use and throw" bassist role for Daisley will be very recurring in his relationships with Ozzy...(think of his contribution in Bark at the Moon, or in The Ultimate Sin or lastly in the multi-platinum No More Tears, where good old Bobo will be dropped once again in favor of the bassist from Alice in Chains..a momentary lapse makes me forget the name..!!)

..you’re right, Fidia...I anticipated that criticism...but I have a question, are you M or F? (because you’ve intervened in almost all my reviews and show a remarkable level of critique and knowledge..!!)
