Luca Carboni Le band si sciolgono

But no, but no... it's that here they think in stereotypes... On this site, it seems that music is reduced to the names of Pink, Iron, and Dream... Meanwhile, the musical horizon teaches us that there are other albums and bands worthy of the same consideration... Unfortunately, here ignorance runs rampant, and there seem to be very few multifaceted (and liberal) souls... The next review...? Hmm... we'll see... I’ll have to find the inspiration... ā€œMaybe from some other girl... so I can write one like the one about Biagio... he he...ā€ Just to close the Gilmour/Carboni debate: The two names obviously cannot even be compared regarding their contribution to the world of music. However, I would say that Gilmour’s absolute inability as a lyricist is well known... Artists like De André, Battisti (read, Mogol), or even the decent Carboni, in my humble opinion, are clearly superior.

Hi Aniel.... just reading the reply from that other character makes it clear why I’ve been silent on this site....

A perhaps underrated singer-songwriter, but upon closer inspection, one of the few noteworthy voices emerging from the mediocre banality that characterizes the current Italian scene. He may not be Gilmour (who, to be honest, has much to learn from Carboni in terms of lyrics..), but he has composed and continues to create music that is heartfelt and profound, with few lapses into banality. And that is enough.

For all Van Halen fans… this is his new song… a soundtrack for an arthouse Dutch porn film… Does he seem that destabilized to you, this 50-year-old???? Watch him... with all he's drunk, to have a body like that at his age…

You can pass on the review abortion, but what I really can’t digest is that not only did you not elaborate on the long suite on the second side, but especially that you didn’t mention what I believe is the most beautiful song by the BEATLES... I WANT YOU (SHE SO HEAVY)... 8 minutes of pure madness in a blues with almost doom-like final traits... Unforgettable... Forget about those 30-second ditties that the mindless masses remember them for... If they had stayed together for another 5 years, they might have almost become the Pink Floyd...

No dear, I’m here, I’m here... actually, I haven’t written anything lately because I need to find some record that ā€œdeservesā€ to be known, but at the same time isn’t overexposed... You see, Aniel, as much as we write for the pleasure of doing it, I’d say it’s still important to seek a competitive backdrop with others... Unfortunately, this last aspect now seems limited to me by the categorization of reviews...

In some ways, I prefer more albums like Risk or Crypting. In fact, I partially agree with the greater "fidelity" of the Megadeth compared to Metallica in terms of their genre. However, it should not be forgotten that even the works following Youthanasia have lost their way along the shores of rock/metal. Perhaps, yes, in this album there is definitely a hint at recovering the old sounds, and this may make it worthy of note. Nevertheless, it is still an overall uninspired work, even if objectively good. To conclude... I would like to finally debunk the (supposed) dogma that Metallica's thrash ended after the Black Album... it’s not true! Of course, a significant mellowing of the tones can be felt, but in my opinion, Load, Reload, and Garage are more than good albums. Whether one stubbornly discredits them out of bias is another story; the fact remains that songs like Bleeding Me, Outlaw Torn, or Fixxxer (just to name a few) are and will remain, in my view, excellent examples of contemporary rock/metal/thrash. St. Anger, on the other hand, as pure provocative experimentation, I would set apart... in the limbo of aborted albums. I apologize for the digression in favor of Metallica, but the context justifies it extensively.

I respect your "minimalist" approach... however, I remain with a puzzled eye, especially towards that theory which suggests that some bands are devoted to Satanism as a means of connecting with their majors... Fidia, the discussion about the fragility of the minds of the audience, ends up proving too much... don’t you think?

Indeed, my intention was not to make a flat-out criticism... Far from it; the influence, even unconscious, that this kind of messages has on the human soul is always complex and unpredictable. However, I certainly do not want to take absolute positions on events like these. What is certain is that subliminal messages absolutely exist; I read a book some time ago where they were listed and commented on. As for the zep, it's well-known their predilection for the occult sciences. Not only are many of their records filled with satanic symbolism, but particularly "IV," also known as So-Zo (from the first symbol depicted... which would be Page's, a kind of demonic pentacle according to some religion), the entire theme of satanism pervades the album from start to finish. Stairway to Heaven then will contain at least twenty satanic "reverse" lyrics; I, who own the LP, have been able to verify this personally. We all know other examples; from the Police to Queen and finally to the Beatles... In my humble opinion, subliminal messages in music and lyrics have some kind of impact on our subconscious; beyond the objective beauty of these "classics," I wouldn't rule out that what makes them "immortal" might also derive from something ultramusic-related... Can we exclude that the Majors do not speculate on these forms of underground mechanisms? I do not exclude it... I certainly can't prove it, nor believe it entirely, but I definitely don't rule it out...

It's true, guys; I must have read somewhere that the "trigger factor" comes from the subliminality of the cover... BUT, as you point out, that's not the case. I thought the subliminal message was only from "Suicide Solution" by Ozzy... If I'm not mistaken, the young suicide victim was found still wearing the headphones and the walkman with the tape of "class corrupted" inside...
