Well, I see a work of art like a pie chart... let's say that this group is 90% crap, while the 10% corresponds to those two or three songs that can be listened to from their entire discography. I study Sociology at university, and I assure you, when it comes to Culture (which I also consider music), Good and Bad do not exist! (not at an absolute level, that is). Dialectically, I only accept it philosophically. Moderation is the measure of objectivity in an analysis...

oh, finally I share an opinion about easy... pathetic group (even though new born used to rock back in the day)... now they’re just a pain in the ass. After listening to them I had the "muse" for the whole day... But you still remain too harsh on the bands you don't like.

One last thing: Heavy metal is NOT synonymous with metal. "Metal" by itself means absolutely nothing.

You see... if I told you that Opeth are considered one of the tastiest realities in the prog death metal scene of recent years, would you believe it? Well, believe it because it’s true! Anyway, the masterpiece by Opeth is definitely Blackwater Park, not Deliverance. I instead recommend Damnation, in which the singer uses only clean vocals without growls, and it's definitely prog rock. I mentioned Opeth because for me they are the other side of the coin of prog metal. On one side, you have bands like DT, and on the other side, you have Opeth. And they both have their merits! I’m not straying from the topic regarding DT; you think one way, I think another. For you, they are to be avoided at all costs, while for me they are quite enjoyable (not the best band in the world, mind you). I don’t know how much you’ve heard from the five hotshots from Boston, maybe there’s something you haven’t heard from them that you could consider at least decent, but I doubt it. Anyway, I caught you off guard; you didn't know Opeth, huh... Just think that they are considered the most innovative on the Doom/Death scene. Predictable poetry? Then listen to Still Life, so IMPREDECIBLE that it kind of annoys me in the long run... (they refer, not too implicitly, to the '70s rock bands in general, but I doubt you can share this "deplorable" common opinion, right?).
