Do you see that psychoanalysts are not useless? Just think about what it would be like if they didn't exist.

The previous album was a distortion of reality that was definitely more captivating and original than this latest one, which is decidedly too realistic. Especially concerning the past: nothing that Merritt hasn't already created.

The plot seems to me a blatant excuse to kick off the games. Even Ranieri in the press conference just now dropped a line about Avatar; it's a true pandemic.

Judging a film by its plot seems really out of place to me. I saw it, and I was expecting worse. Undoubtedly, it's the same old script and dialogues not exactly avant-garde surrealism, but the action is colossal and the special effects less self-referential than one might expect. In fact, it’s the final part that deserves the most attention, with clear references to gaming cultures ranging from the latest Final Fantasy (Forest of Salika if I remember correctly and the Viera people) to the Metal Gear REX from Metal Gear Solid or the more classic Japanese mechs. But who knows how many other gaming realities... Then again, I don't want to say something stupid, but the concept of Man-Avatar doesn’t seem too far from the virtual reality of Matrix, even though in Avatar the reality is anything but virtual.
