Martin Scorsese Hugo Cabret

A very enjoyable, light, visionary, and poetic film. However, the reviewer does not mention Dante Ferretti and his wife Francesca Lo Schiavo, who won the Oscar for production design. This is important because in this film the set design truly takes center stage and gives an enormous boost to the movie. Dante is almost a fellow townsman of mine, and he deserves great recognition, not just for this film. Let us not forget what he created for Il nome della Rosa by Annaud, La città delle donne by Fellini, Casinò by Scorsese, The Aviator by Scorsese (Oscar-winning), Ritorno a Could Mountain by Mighella, etc. And then there's Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street by Tim Burton, for which he won yet another Oscar. In short, a colossal talent who has literally "built" great films.

I realized I haven't voted yet. I agree with some of the posts above, that R.E.M. made more complete and mature albums overall, but this one has a unique charm for the period it was written in, for its impact, and especially because from here began the story of one of the greatest bands of the '80s/'90s. I remember back then Italian newspapers were writing that there was an interesting band in the U.S. that was being followed by American college circuits... from here (and from many other albums) alternative music started in the early '80s. A movement that, for its significance but above all for its spontaneity and interest, is comparable to the grunge of the late '80s and early '90s.

But, honestly, how can you give a 4 to a review of Tobi De Tanna? Giving a 4 means that the review is rich, enjoyable to read, flows well, gives us information about the album, evokes emotions, or piques our curiosity to the max. Come on, show a little seriousness... :-D! Really, at least Rax's reviews make a lot more sense. This one just loves to mess around. Let's give it a 2 if we want to be really generous.

Anyway, at some point it's becoming a trend: shooting at poor Rax. What is he doing that's so wrong? He's reviewing what he likes like crazy. So what? The site should thank him. Let's all say thank you to RAX:

The central part and the conclusion are missing. Too bad, you started off well.
