I didn't get angry. I just replied to the comments, for clarity, and out of courtesy as well. Good ska to everyone.

x vivis: I hate people who dance to ska and reggae. I'm sorry, that's just how it is. Will I be arrested for this? Why do you care? I've also written that it's a form of racism, let's say...

x lazzaroblu. I didn't need to say anything about Giuliano Palma, since I was reviewing the event itself, and what I've written is what I've seen. If you want information about him, just search on Google.

x Revolver. Yes, I reviewed my own shit. Any problem? x Dr. Marcus: I don't understand your presence on this site; you write a review and then we can talk about it. x loneswordsman: what did I do, write the review or go to the concert? Go to the concert because I wanted to see the ameba. Write the review because I felt like it, just to vent. The bartender didn't make any reasoning. He was simply quite dimwitted, but nice.

Well, the review is about the concert. I went there to see the Ameba, and this is instead what I experienced and what I could share. And then I wanted to say that I think Giuliano Palma is terrible. Is that prohibited?

I think there’s a disconnect here because we’re having completely different conversations. I realized this when I heard the word "conservatorio." Let me share a story. I have a friend who is studying composition in Rome, on the recommendation of Ennio Morricone, who heard some of his pieces. But now he is studying it; for years, he did nothing but take a few guitar lessons and the rest is self-taught. Yet the compositions that dazzled Morricone, and among others, John Anderson from Yes, were written without any formal musical education. What he is learning now is just an additional means to express his abilities and qualities; it’s certainly not the most important thing in his music. Coming from a school and knowing how to create complex and sophisticated musical structures does not mean being original or creative. A well-learned and well-applied notion is not enough to make any artist (or any “worker”) an original and creative artist.

let's take an example that goes beyond the musical context. you may have seen videos of people performing incredible tricks with a ball, things that even Ronaldinho might struggle to do. but do they know how to play soccer? no, they know how to juggle, and that’s what interests them; it's their main characteristic. I prefer the great player who is skilled with their feet, who understands teamwork and through their ability brings the team to play beautifully and even to victory. STOP

Anyway, the drummer is not Dave Grohl, it's Jimmy Chamberlin; ignorant. As far as I know, Billy Corgan can definitely play. And he knows how to compose music, not just using the guitar. If you think the Beatles' songs are just little tunes, it means you haven't listened to any music at all, not one bit. If someone gives that judgment on the Beatles, for me, they might as well stop having the right to speak in a discussion. It's not a matter of taste; it's a matter of understanding. Then, if for you it's more important to know how to play fast than to make good, effective, well-constructed music with beautiful lyrics, then keep listening to and idolizing John Petrucci and his buddies. But don't throw mud at certain people, to whom, I repeat, the beloved Dream Theater would kiss their feet if they could.
