I agree with Caz. Going after the kids with security on your back is cowardly, not to mention underground, Elio e le storie tese on Italia 1.

Among other things, complaining because an artist's performance isn't what we expect shows a considerable underlying dullness. And I can’t stand the Afterhours, really.

Great record. Berlin is better, my friend is right, New York too. I’ve seen it live as well, and through 18 ass-kissings, I have New York and Banana signed. deheho.

It’s very arrogant and pretentious of you to claim that I only listen to punk and wave, especially since, from what you write and how you write it, I should be roughly twice your age and have a bit more listening experience behind me. But it doesn’t matter; all your posts have a very arrogant and pretentious tone, so it’s no wonder. It’s just a timely confirmation of the fact that you shoot judgments with extreme ease (both musical and about people), even when others refrain from doing so despite the nonsense that routinely comes with this post, too. Well, they’re all opinions, and it might be that the entirety of musical criticism over the past 20 years listens only to wave and punk (except notable exceptions such as Fegiz, who is closer to your point of view). Of course, it should be clear that the author can at best distinguish Cannibal Corpse from Coltrane (in short, an ear that’s a mix between Cremonini and the aforementioned Fegiz), you understand that we’d save a lot of time, with those premises one would take the review for what it is: no real value, except for fun. And please try to understand that I don’t give a damn about what you like or dislike, or what you believe or don’t believe: I only corrected what you said that was objectively wrong, for me as for any critic worth their name (the vast majority, thankfully) and for illustrious representatives of the artistic community, among which stand out obviously Killing Joke, Minutemen, Gun Club, and all the others you claim to appreciate. The Stranglers are different from the Clash or the Wire of Pink Flag; if you think otherwise, so be it, but please realize that the problem is yours, whether it’s a lack of ear or your vague and patchy education on the subject, whatever you want, but it remains a problem of yours. Now feel free to repeat for the umpteenth time about your tastes and how much you hate what you keep repeating, the "poor idiot" said, and believes there’s no chance of recovery except by putting on oversized ears like a donkey and starting over with Chuck Berry :)

Apart from the fact that the "this is what I think" angle you took came after the thousandth absurdity we've noticed in your posts, if that were the angle, it wouldn't have mattered much since it comes from someone who, no offense, knows little to nothing about punk (and please, don’t start citing random bands, anyone who thinks Social Distortion are punk '77 (just to pick one of the most outrageous) objectively knows jack about punk). The review is a rather stereotypical and banal attack on punk, filled with overused non-arguments and the usual free dose of insults (and it would have helped to avoid calling me a "poor idiot angry with mom and dad") which honestly have nothing to do with your tastes. If you want, you can continue to justify the grandest nonsense you can produce with your "tastes," but if your tastes tell you that punk is standardized, when no later than 3 posts ago I demonstrated that even among '77 punks there's absolutely nothing standardized (arguments you've conveniently chosen to ignore), I’m sorry but your taste buds are interrupted. The discussion to which you responded with the usual stream of obviousness that you’ve been repeating for a good two weeks was directed at you since I’m talking to you, but it’s totally unrelated to your tastes, as a superficial text analysis can unequivocally prove. Simply put, your argument is so banal and stereotypical (read: of minimal interest) that by changing 3 words I could apply it to anyone without fear of being wrong. The defensiveness is equally evident; as soon as I touched the Pinflois, you felt the need to justify yourself again (again for god's sake) when objectively in my post I didn’t even mention your tastes. Fine, you don’t like it, who cares, I swear I will live with unchanged joy in my eyes. A little less so if you repeat again the same things.

But what's wrong with you? Who said something to you? It's a shame you couldn't record the hot water; if your straw tail catches fire, it'll be a mess.

In fact, anything you attribute to punk can be redirected to any other musical genre. Just switch "simple" with "presumptuous" and "the young" with "the forty-somethings with chronic cultural inferiority," and we have the typical fan of Pin Floi and Genesis. Who, by the way, might have been obsessed with Ultravox at 20.
Well, even when I act like a fool, I come off as having broader views than you, which is frustrating: I mentioned two bands, not an entire genre :p
