I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness Fear Is On Our Side

A vegetable soup (thankfully), that's why I give them the benefit of the doubt. Even Interpol are a vegetable soup, and after a decent debut, they went to shit for me... it's kind of the fate of revivals. But I repeat, they are interesting; I just wait for the confirmation of the second album before shouting masterpiece.

The BP can be found on soulseek, but also, for example, on justlikeheaven.it. Absolutely stunning album, there's no denying it.

Well, they're unripe, and they're derivative to the point of madness. However, they can be listened to.

In fact, no, especially when shot randomly.

I wasn't making comparisons between the groups; I was simply pinpointing a group of artists who were playing at CBGB's, among which the Ramones were definitely included (who closed all the nights).

Curtis hanged himself. If we were to list all the bands that have taken JD, there would be no review, just a list; if we had to mention the most important ones, certainly NIN wouldn't be among them.

Curtis wasn’t doing drugs, as far as I know. And the JD at the time were well known; being "underground" doesn’t mean playing concerts for 20 people. Like all the artists from the factory, they had a solid following and had even toured before with the Buzzcocks, followed by a "historic" series of concerts with the Cure (that’s where the shift in sound from Three Imaginary Boys to the dark period of the Cure happened), in addition to various films about the factory (including one quite famous). Too little for an album like this in my opinion (no offense). This album and the previous one changed rock music; the "thudding in the void" rhythm section was something never heard before, and it was used not just as accompaniment but as an integral part of the melody... In short, there was plenty to write about.

When I was a little brat, my art history teacher at the Prado gave me one of the biggest kicks in the ass of my life. I was in front of Mirò, and when I told her that I could also make dots on a canvas, she replied, "Why haven't you done it?"
