Iron Maiden A Matter Of Life And Death

X Factor a great album? Besides Sign of the Cross, what other memorable tracks are there? And then there's that Blaze Bailey who is just annoying...

the review isn't great and I won't vote for it.. I listened to the album twice yesterday and I'll listen to it again today.. anyway, it's definitely better than Dance of Death, which I found at times as boring as X Factor.. let's face it, since Seventh Son the Maiden have only released mediocre albums or worse, except for Fear of the Dark and Brave New World, and now I add this Life and Death to those two.. it's still an evolution of their sound, more epic, more prog, and that's fine.. after all, you can't expect them to keep doing the same things.. if they are going to keep making albums, evolution is a must..

one thing is innovation, another is progressive.. the exact genre is metalcore.. it's not even nu-metal

I'm sorry, but I don't really agree with your review. First of all, it doesn't seem like a forced job or anything like that to me. The Linkin Park have nothing to do with this at all. I don't understand where you hear them, aside from the catchy choruses which are a standard in the metalcore genre. You could also say that the LPs boast a better singer and a more polished sound, but in terms of style, they have nothing in common. Linkin Park were already overselling by their second album, while this second work by SotY seems like an evolution of Page Avenue, which is certainly a more genuine album but much rougher. The rating is also meaningless, as already pointed out in the previous comment. And to conclude: progressive metal genres? Do you even know what progressive metal is?

I listened to Ben Bregg again carefully... the solo is indeed good, maybe I had listened to it with indifference, but the rest is a mediocre piece.
