I agree with you, dear Laskar. Your vote and review are honest. Of course, it’s not the most original album, but it's still enjoyable (unlike Dance of Death, which feels overly familiar). As for Virtual XI and X Factor, I think people tend to take these two albums too seriously. Just like the albums with Di'Anno are undisputed masterpieces and timeless, these are undeniably missteps, if not total failures (although, in my opinion, Virtual XI with Bruce would have been on another level). However, we often tend to dwell too much on the flaws. With Brave New World, Maiden definitely bounced back with songs that really rock live (see Rock in Rio). I am also convinced that the next album won’t just be a mere commercial operation.
