And if I gave 5 to ETERNITY, ALTERNATIVE 4, and JUDGEMENT, it's because I believe they deserve it. They don't reach the level of THE SILENT ENIGMA, but they remain masterpieces... If it were possible, I would give 7 to THE SILENT ENIGMA!!!

Well, THE SILENT ENIGMA is something you cannot compare... It’s so perfect that it eludes comparisons. Anyway, yes, it’s true, it’s unattainable, the best, in my opinion, that Metal (and Doom) has ever shown! Even Paradise Lost and My Dying Bride have never managed to compose an album at the level of THE SILENT ENIGMA. Songs like Restless Oblivion, The Silent Enigma, A Dying Wish... are absolute! I try not to compare it with the other works of Anathema because, no matter how much the band itself doesn’t want to admit it, THE SILENT ENIGMA is the highest point, the peak of their career. And the true fans of Anathema know this!

I see absolutely no reason to say that having many clones is a fault... Damn, it's definitely not a reason to belittle an album like "Slaughter.." which, by the way, is clearly superior to this. To be honest, it seems like a big foolishness to me.
