Cradle Of Filth Bitter Suites To Succubi

Mediocre review. A band long dead and buried, and this EP is one of the low points.

Sorry for the double comment... "Gothic" by Paradise Lost is the best metal album with dual vocals, in my opinion as well, Alfredo... the problem is that "Gothic" cannot paradoxically be categorized as Gothic Metal, even though it is the album that laid the foundations... That album by Paradise Lost is still Doom/Death Metal.

Well-crafted review, so I lean towards the positive and give it 5. The album is the latest example of excellent Gothic Metal provided by Tristania, who for me died with the departure of M. Veland. In any case, Beyond The Veil and Widow's Weeds remain two of the very few examples of how to do Gothic with dual vocals without falling into the sentimental or the gaudy.

Moonspell The Antidote

Excellent review for an average album. Apart from a few truly captivating sections or songs, overall it slips by quite anonymously without leaving a mark. Highlighted are Capricorn At Her Feet and Everything Invaded.
Lacuna Coil Karmacode

I will never tire of saying it: a terrible, false, empty, and contrived group. I’m going back to listening to Paradise Lost.

Sorry... awful... disappeared Morten Veland, all the talent and magic have vanished... it's no coincidence that he was the one who composed the old tracks...
Tristania Widow's Weeds
Voto:
In my opinion, it is one of the few examples of excellent Gothic Metal with a female voice. Moreover, Tristania should be called Morten Veland, who is one of the few musicians capable of writing something intense and "true" in a genre that floods the market with thousands of rubbish… the proof is that after he disappeared, Tristania hasn’t managed to produce anything even remotely decent. An excellent album, therefore, especially "December Elegy" and "Wasteland's Caress."
Marilyn Manson Lest We Forget

A rather clichéd review... you should try to be deeper and not always fall back on those worn-out themes. I like Manson musically to some extent, but overall it's truly not much.

An extremely accurate review for what is undoubtedly their masterpiece. Chilling.
