Tame Impala The Slow Rush

Even worse than I expected (and I expected crap following the terrible Currents). What can I say, at the beginning of the decade Innerspeaker made me fall in love, then Lonerism already stank quite a bit, a pitying veil over the rest. I don't know, I have no words, it sounds like Random Access Memories in AOR sauce. I mean, now everything bad can be resurrected, covered with a "modern/riato" sheen, and it becomes the coolest thing of the century. I don't know, Parker should just stick to being a producer, as a songwriter he's really terrible. Oh, and in this regard, here’s the only true and right review of this enormous colorized pain in the ass The Quietus | Reviews | Tame Impala
Lucio Corsi Cosa faremo da grandi?
Voto:
The piece with the guitar in Hackett honestly leaves me perplexed... I mean, I don’t like the lyrics at all; if the whole album is like this, I’m passing. A different story is the album that put him on the map, the one with the songs each for an animal, that one (even if not all) is a small gem.
The Darts (US) I Like You But Not Like That

I had heard about it from friends who played at the Festival Beat, I'm listening to it again now. Okay, good job, but the problem is that I have (and I think you do too, Pinhead) a couple of Ikea bags full of Farfisa driven garage bands. Honestly, I'll pass, even though they do their job well. Speaking of Festival Beat, every year I think about it and then I back off, also because the choice of bands always leaves me quite perplexed. The only cool thing from the last editions was the Mummies; for the rest, it’s all too clean for my taste, I like my garage dirty.
Squid Town Centre

Um, in my hurry I completely forgot to mention one of the biggest influences at certain moments, namely James Chance and the Contortions.
MGMT Little Dark Age
Voto:
Ah okay, we were also missing the poet magnascoasse. You must have spent some time listening to MGMT, the trendy band from 10 years ago.

Album of the year alongside Altin Gun, nothing more to say.
Altin Gün Gece

Possible album of the year, I thought I had published it here months ago, and instead I've been meaning to send in the reviews of the best of 2019 for months... Well done as usual Almo, I didn’t know they were all covers, I only know Erkin Koray among those mentioned.
Shirley Collins, Davy Graham Folk Roots, New Routes
Voto:
I find Collins' voice hard to digest, but this is a Graham album, and there's plenty to enjoy. You've reminded me that for years I've been meaning to buy it.
Quentin Tarantino C'era una volta... A Hollywood
Voto:
Seen yesterday in the original language. Absolutely need to see it again, judgment extremely suspended. At the moment of the second Tarantino, that is from Kill Bill onwards, the best, and the one I enjoy watching the most, remains Hateful Eight. I understand and am intrigued by your interpretation, which I can also share, but I always fear that a cerebral viewing surpasses one of the eyes or the gut, if you know what I mean. Anyway, chapeau just for "Keep Me Hangin' On" by Vanilla Fudge in the final scene!
