@odra: look, I was trying to figure out yesterday if the latest Grails is worth writing a few lines about. After the ritual ablution, they put out two albums that didn’t excite me, nothing compared to that amazing album we’re referring to. They also released Black Tar Prophecies vol 4, which didn’t impress me much either. Deep Politics, apart from the hideous cover, is strange; they’ve added strings and piano in abundance, I’d almost say it’s akin to chamber post-rock at times, definitely less overtly psychedelic. However, it grows on you with repeated listens and seems very well-polished, with nice sounds and a great impact.

@bartle: yes, I'm trying to listen to it carefully, it seems good to me, a return to more improvised things, but also """"POP"""" in its own little way, a bit like what he was trying to do with Luminous Night. I'm eagerly awaiting it on vinyl soon. @pretà: come on, the guy brings the warmth, so it's perfect for getting rid of this damn cold!

Hello people, I forgot to mention that the album is from 2009, actually. Anyway, it’s one of the albums I’ve listened to the most over the past year. Let’s hope it doesn’t get ruined because I think this one could have the numbers.

the soundtrack of my summer vacations since '84 for at least 2 years, 3000 degrees in August, A22 Brennero in a perpetual traffic jam. a blend of hate and nostalgia.

great huh...I still haven't managed to get to the end, I think dopesmoker is right (but I've never been a big fan of Earth)

Well, Enbar, I’ll join in the general praise. The two red and blue collections were also a small bible for me. I’d like to add that I’m trying to give my two-and-a-half-year-old daughter a taste of the Beatles as well. However, I started with Revolver (I have the poster at home; it was to help her understand what it represented), maybe it would have been better with Hard Days' Night...

I'll have to listen to them given how you describe them. At that time, they had a band that many Japanese consider "historic" in the progressive scene, which was Yonin Bayashi. They gave me a live album, but I remember it being a bit meh. Oh, and if you don't know them, Nishinihon wasn't bad either.

A film recommended for all music lovers, I even liked it, and I generally couldn't care less about most of the bands featured. Just the meeting with the future Happy Mondays is worth the watch. Strange fate for this film, I saw it (not even the whole thing) when I was in Tokyo in 2004, and when I got back to Italy, I looked for it to show it but nada de nada. Strange that it came out here about 5 years after its release. Mysteries of distribution.

one of the most highly regarded albums by everyone, but also one of those that brings bad luck in my opinion. Every time I try to listen to it again, I immediately touch my balls. More unsettling than electronic mediatation or the first incarnation of Kraftwerk (does anyone remember the name of the band?)
